I would take 17th. Lots of gutless performances today and passing to team mates seemed to be beyond half the team. Shocking.
Add Villa to the list of teams who already look a bit better than us. I think "squad on paper" wise we're in the bottom tier rather than tier 2. PRETTY POO: Watford, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Norwich, Sheffield United, Burnley, Brighton, Southampton & Villa. NOT BAD NOT BAD: Leicester, Everton, West Ham & Wolves slightly better than average. GOOD BUT SOMETIMES NOT GOOD: United, Chelsea & Arsenal. NEARLY ALWAYS GREAT: Spurs, Liverpool & Man City. Win most of the games against "pretty poo" teams and we'll be alright. In conclusion, 11-20 is a complete roulette and we're not clearly better than any of them so we either fix up or rely on three teams to be worse than us.
Spurs were toothless without Eriksen on the pitch. Kane barely touched the ball. I suggest the league retires the number 3 position.
I just watched that video posted by the club feat Derek Payne and the Beautiful Emma Saunders. Foster made some honest points about the display, but I disagree in his assessment that "they wanted it more." Ben, don't hide the cold fact we were sh1te today overall. Derek and Emma both suggested should fans be worried about end of last season abd today and Ben said "Work on Addressing it begins Monday". Whether or not we see the reaction he was talking about at Everton remains to be seen. Imho both Emma and Derek looked pretty concerned. I think we all are.
Don’t know how true this is but I was told third hand, that leading up to Fosters interview he made the remark of basically the players thought they could just turn up today and win and that they weren’t taking Brighton seriously leading up to the game. Thought the game was in the bag before kick-off basically. How true this is I don’t know, certainly played like we thought we had already won so wouldn’t doubt it. Edit: if it is true I hope Javi shoves a rocket ip their backsides this week in training. They should be made to do double training sessions.
