    It could have been worse.

It could have been something comprehensible.

Our next two games are massive for us, West Hams season will be over by the time we play them as well and could well be on their holidays already against a side that are playing for something.

You don't know what you are going to get from Everton they looked great against Man United at the weekend but were beaten 2-0 by Fulham the week before. I think they will drop points.

Since losing to us in that magnificent FA Cup final Wolves have lost 3-1 away to Southampton and drew 0-0 at home to Brighton, and they have to go and beat Liverpool at Anfield who are likely to be playing for the league title.

Leicester will have to be brilliant to accumulate enough points from their remaining games.

L8a, we’ve won the Cup already?

Should have been a spoiler alert?

Genuinely don't know what to make of Wolfs since El Día de Sin Cara, they've been slipping up against smaller teams all season. They haven't beaten a non-top 6 side since early March and are on a run of 1 win in 8 against the Premier League's bottom 14, and that was at home to Cardiff.

Have a sneaky suspicion Zaha FC will turn Everton over, despite their poor home record and the fact they've got nothing to play for. Everton are fast becoming the next Wolfs it seems

We now absolutely have to beat Wolves and West Ham or 7th isn't happening. We blew it tonight and we just have to hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.

Mathematically, Wolves was always going to be the big one as it’s a 6 pointer.

Plus the half point for goal difference.

Wolves was always going to be a have to win game. Winning tonight would have given us a bit of a margin to work with, but Watford never does easy. If there's a hard route that's the one we always seem to take.

Looking at the fixtures for other sides, I'd say the ceiling for Everton is 55 points. Leicester will not beat that with their run in, and Wolves if they do lose to us, will only get 54 points even if they beat Arsenal tomorrow.

We have to target 56 points. Do that and we should finish 7th, but it's going to the last match.

I think we finish a respectable 9th. We will win the cup anyway :)

If we had won last night a draw against Wolves would have probably been enough for us to secure 7th. Now we need to beat Wolves.

I reckon we're an absolute certainty for 7th place. We have such a togetherness and the little sparkle of genuine top quality that I think puts us ahead from anyone else, besides maybe Leicester.

Genuinely think we have a player in Gerard who is easily the best player outside the top 6. For me in fact, he's better than half the players in that bracket. Alexis Sanchez, £500,000 a week anyone?

    A lot depends on tonight.

If Wolves win & are able to keep it tight against us, it will be difficult.

If they don't, & have to come at us, we'll be able to counter attack which, with Del, Dre & Bobby, will suit us fine.

    Our greatest strength is JG.

Del & Bobby have been brilliant on their day. Unstoppable. But JG has been extraordinarily consistent, week in, week out.

Unless he hits the sangria/pacharan/orujo big time at Saturday breakfast, we are in good hands.

Whatever happens tonight now we need to beat Wolves Saturday after last nights result. Do that and I think we have an excellent chance.

If we go 4-4-2 again Hughes has to be dropped for Femenia.

Not only do we need to beat wolves but have to hope Everton also lose a few. We are slightly ahead in the race only if wolves don’t beat arsenal unfortunately this won’t happen

It will be exciting to see which of Wolves and Everton get the European place as we finish 10th on gd behind Leicester

Arsenal win when you want them to lose and lose when you want them to win. They are like all top six sides......never do Watford any favours ever. They all beat us, but regularly lose to our rivals. I hate them :D

    Perfection.

If this happens after I’ve jumped in the pond I’m trolling their board the northern bastards.

It’s like our special extra little chance. If we don’t get 7th **** however gets it at Wembley. Doubly sweet because it will be Wolves or Everton we screw ove

“Are you watching everton or wolves” would be a brilliant chant if we win.

If Wolves beat Arsenal tonight, we will need to beat them and get a point from west ham. If we do draw with wolves they will probably beat fulham giving them another 4 points which means it will come down to goal difference, with us currently both on zero

(Wolves winning 2-0 means their GD is +1)

All three of us have a hiccup or 2 in us for our run in. Palace and Spurs are banana skins for us. Wolves will not beat the RS in the last game. I'd say you guys have the easier run in. As you rightly point out, winning the cup would be great for you and football in general!
