Did you feel any of the following emotions? 1: 2. 3: Personally, #2 for myself here. Knowing I don't have to dread 3pm coming around today and biting nails, pulling my hair out at our performance. But hey, this time next week...
Lots of excitement over the YB Warbler but I've seen and photoed well before ....and weather is a bit crap.
YBW's are my favourite small Palaearctic passerines after Pallas's and Firecrest. Wee jewels. Maybe beaten by some neotropical Tanagers though.
I don’t think I’ve met any football fan who doesn’t dislike international weeks. Bring back the old days . League match. FA Cup Replay. League match. Yugoslavia v England. League match.
Yes had my best view and photo in Morocco where they are pretty unusual and I had to send to the official recorder. Never seen a Pallas's but several good views and photos of firecrests. Tanagers are great. Have seen many varieties in Costa Rica and Brazil and I expect plenty more in Ecuador in Dec. (Spell check wanted to change firecrests and tanagers to directors and managers. It must mistakenly think this is a football forum).
I hoped it would stop raining for my work and then the Harris Cup final we played. It didn't. It has stopped now. I am fine with us being relegated if it happens. Clearly I'd rather it didn't, but I will be a Watford fan long after the PL explodes, like Mr Creosote, through greed and hubris.
I hate international breaks, with one exception, if you want a winter holiday, and not to miss any football, then they can come in a bit handy.
As a former native of Grimsby I went to see them at Stevenage in league 2 yesterday. Added bonus of being given a free ticket at the turnstiles by a Grimsby player who couldn't get rid of all his freebies. Result? 2-1 to Stevenage, handing them their first win of the season. Grimsby's defence was poor and attack impotent. Reminded me of another team I follow....
Gave me an extra weekend of not getting up early and charging down the motorway at 9.30am for over 2 hours. So that was nice! Have tended to do a few non league games with mates on international weeks - £10 to get in including free programme, beers on the terrace, being able to abuse the players if they've done something shiiit and for them to hear it, even over the other side of the pitch (I'm looking at you number 7).
