I got a really nice warm coat from Cifriana and the kids. I didn't have one before, so I'm very happy.

A very nice griddle pan, gonna get meaty slabs of Aubergine frying on this baby soon. Also a depressing amount of skin care products which I’m badly in need of, even more depressingly.

Merry Christmas to all of you, I hope you have a great day whatever you have planned.

I’ve got a pub trip in half an hour, dinner at threeish and then ringside seats to the annual blazing row/fist fight between my other half’s aunty and her daughter. It wouldn’t be Christmas without it....

I was 21 when my the girl I was living with begged me to go to her parents' place in Devon for Xmas. Her mum had remarried a few years earlier and she described the new husband as a "...prikc..." (a lecturer in management) and her extremely domineering sister's fiancee as a "...wet fart..." (an accountant). It was an eye-opener (and possible on of the nicest Xmas times I've had) because it was a revelation not to see someone's 'dad' spend all Xmas eve afternoon in the pub, come back sleep it off, then spend all Xmas eve evening in the pub, come back for a blazing row, wake up on Xmas morning really ill and have another blazing row before rushing out of the house to catch the pub opening on Xmas day and then come home to be too pi$$ed to sit at the lunch table but not too pi$$ed to have yet another blazing row before collapsing on the sofa...

A lovely meal out fully paid for, a Vicarage Road wall plaque, the 98/99 home shirt, a copy of EJ new book and tickets to see Wicked next year.

And hopefully three points tomorrow afternoon.

Santa brought me an hour of the Play Off final from 2006 when we broke dirty Leeds' fragile little hearts.

Repeated on Sky Sports Football on Wednesday at 3am. You're welcome.

Santa brought me nothing because as a family two years ago after our Dad passed away we decided not to get presents for each other. No-one under 30 so no disappointed kids. No asking each other what we wanted because we'd just buy it ourselves normally. No meaningless purchases that contribute to the overblown spending frenzy that is Capitalistmas.

We have a family Christmas get together, eat Christmas dinner, get drunk & play silly board games as per usual, but it's been quite liberating not to spend money on family presents and not just for the wallet! Now, if only I can convince work colleagues to do the same next year...

I got a pressure washer for washing our muddy bikes. So essentially I’m pit crew.

I renember reading somewhere that these things play havoc with your vehicles' paintwork: with mechanical damage from any grit/sand damaging the surface coating to the water under high pressure entering any coating cracks/dcratches & enhancing any corrosion... I hope I'm wrong...

    An Amazon voucher.
I bought 4 presents online via amazon/disney , one of which Hermes failed to deliver on Xmas eve meaning my other nephew and niece weren't allowed theirs as "it wouldn't be fair".
****ing hate Xmas. It's just a commercial-retail-stress event which has no religious meaning to me. Delighted to be back in the office today.

Bearings are your worry with a bike. But it’s not the most powerful type.

I got to spend Christmas with someone I met in late November. No presents, no expectations, no sex, no drink (both now teetotal).

Just music, a few tears and long conversations into the nights with a like minded individual.

For the first time in a long long time I've enjoyed Christmas.

Travelling back home now and already life is a little darker.

My pressure washer always causes havoc with the bikes disc brakes.

Yes, they will make a terrible din if you use them directly afterwards. Disc brake cleaner (the spray) is great though once the whole thing is clean.

A migrane which really ****ed over Xmas day.

Other than that a shirt, wallet and a box of ferrero rocher in case an ambasador visits.

It's okay Hornpete, I smiled as I read your comment and before I reached the brackets.

It would be pointless going back as she won't be there for a while and I've a life to continue here. At the moment it's just fine the way it is for the two of us.
