Often because of negativity on here. I'm frankly sick of it myself.
Don't be obtuse.
Gone to the Fields of Gold.
He’s Moong now isn’t he ?
@CarlosKickaballs if Mario signs then we will definitely need you to resume you artwork.
Interesting to see how the site has evolved from its humble beginnings from (it seems) September 2006. Many of the present forums didn’t even exist until much later, and we didn’t really have any dedicated match day threads until about 2009. Also the game threads start years after the forums were started, but there must have been some around 2006?
Here are some of the very earliest threads, from when there were only about 10 members:
http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/latest-software.2792/ (I believe this is the first one)
First two threads on this forum: http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/tony-yorke-steps-down.2800/
First match day-related thread (only 22 posts)
(BTW, I was around near the beginning, and I don’t remember this Emma poster at all, but she was pretty prolific with 3000+ posts)
First off-topic thread:
He had had enough of the behaviour of certain posters in the Politics section. I have some sympathy with his position.
What happened to the Politics section? What was the final straw that led to it's closing?
Come on, don't leave me hanging.
One could still start a political thread in General Banter though, has anyone done that?
I'm not sure those who of us who frequented that murky part of the forum really know. Ask the mods...
Have you seen the Covid thread recently?
Perhaps it just feels that way
Tick as applicable;
It was Henry Hooter's fault
It was Moose's fault
It was ZZ's fault
It was Keighley's fault
It was Cley's fault.
It was GOBE's fault
It was LLoyd's fault.
I thought I saw Henry Hooter here recently, long after the politics forum was closed, must have been in that thread.
Another poster MIA.
PS: you missed out @Jumbolina.
Has the politics forum just come back then?
I hope not, the main reason why I stopped posting on here as well!
I keep getting a banner on my wfc forum selling free bras.
I don’t get it. How are they free if they’re selling them? Anyway: have you bought any? We all need a hobby.
The politics forum was unfortunately a victim of its own success. It grew too popular and I think it began to attract members who were not necessarily even watford fans. I’m pretty sure the mods warned posters on several occasions and suspended it several times but eventually had enough reason to close it.
Back in the day the old arcade also suffered the same problems it became so popular that it massively slowed the site down.
But it's BACK! AND IT'S LIVE!!!
I just saw. Terrible decision IMO, mods OUT! Moog IN!
(That's how the politics section works, right? Ignore most of the post and pick on one part?)

You can see her on 'Hive Live' every weekend
Considering some people seem to post more in a year than I have in 14 years, I've found my first contribution - turned out to be a historic day as the official forum officially sunk!
This IMO is more interesting than earliest threads, because it gives a good idea of what the forum looked like and who the regulars were at the time:
This site from January 2007 (earliest version I could find):
A lot of forums existed that are no longer, I remember them and miss some of 'em...
This forum (somewhat later than when the site was created, but interesting as you can detect from the thread titles and previews the first rumblings of discontent of Aidy's tenure):
You jest, but it could well be our Emma Saunders! A quick Google search shows she was 26 in July 2018 and now she's 29 according to her WFC Forums profile.
Looks like the usual discussion about the owners wanting to replace Z Cars as well
No, he got found out lying and masquerading as another regular poster, and they both flounced off together.
EmmaWFC. Probably her. What happened to PFCFitz ? With A Smile. mean. Some regular posters right there who just stopped.
Interesting reading re Ellington in this thread
That's a nostalgia hit!!
I remember the banner
Emmawfc isn't Emma Saunders though
‘Do you think he is available on a free?’
if only that was as bad as it got.
Definitely Emma Saunders. I'm pretty sure she's the only Emma that supports Watford.
