There's a lot of talk on here about which players are not good enough. Someone further up the page even said, with lots of asterisks, good coaches can't change bad players. Yes they can. A good coach is key to most successes - this is a team game and if the team ethos, tactics, understanding and attitude are wrong or confused the team doesn't work as a team. Three wrong statements and a probable further wrong one, all in the first sentence. (That's not to say Watson and Amrabat are good enough). BTW, you could try booing without any trousers on. People would take more notice of you then.
Liked for the use of slacks, a sadly neglected word these days. More proper trousers would rectify our League Cup failings perhaps?
I'd come to this conclusion just from his stats and youtube vids before signing - I thought he looked a marginal upgrade at best on Jurado and it's proven to be the case. Even at his "most fit" Deeney will never be the mobile front man Silva requires. He's not getting any younger either.
I believe that holding our own in the PL is more than enough achievement for a club like ours. OK, we don't get a mention in the honours list, but is that really important? Luton may have won a league cup, but would you swap our position for theirs?

Because it's a loss in a joke competition that we always do **** in and no one cares about, featuring a lot of players who didn't play against Liverpool and Muff and won't play against Brighton. It hasn't 'totally crushed' the momentum of two very good results and performances in the PL at all.
Still unsure why we do quite so badly in this cup. We take it as seriously / or not as all other Prem teams. 10 out of 12 of them have gone through to the next round (possibly 11 out of 13 if Newcastle win in extra time)
Completely agree, imo he is now third choice striker behind Okaka, when Okaka plays we do not play hoof ball. I also think Okaka gets too much stick on here from some people.
