I feel good about this one so predicting a goal fest and Watford win, think we should go all out hence the team. I think we'll get 3 but may let 1 in.

    -------------------------King-------------------------
    Bouazza----------------------------------------Young
    -----------Mahon Francis BangBang----------
    Stewart-----Demerit-----Mackay-----Doyley
    -------------------------Foster-----------------------

Subs Lee, Priskin, Henderson, Smith, Shittu

Agreed, will be starting to get worried if this one isn't easy.

I ould be more inclined to swap young for bangbang then swap bangbang for smith, putting bangbang on the bench.
    my set up being more

    --------------------foster------------------
    doyley---Shittu---mackay---stewart
    ------young--francis--mahon----------
    ----------------Bouazza-------------------
    -------Smith--------------King------------

Subs: Lee Priskin Henderson Bangbang Demerit.

I dont know why but it is a personal preference to see Young in his natural position rather than the adopted FR role he has found himself with.
And I have never been a fan of a loan striker... and i think that with smith and king having bouazza supporting them, feeding them they would have more scope up front, knowing they have bouazza steaming through the middle.
As for giving Bangbang a start, i would go more with the experience of Smith and change things around at half time if its not working out, as it stands there are only 3 players with any real light experience and he is one of them.

I am going for a Home win, i think we have a chance to sneak it on saturday so long as we get off to a good start, and not sputter our way like a race car on 3 cylinders, which has been our downfall too often already this season.
    2-1 Watford Win.

Fair ideas there. We've agreed that Boozer deserves a start. Looked pretty recently.

Without a doubt, that blast he put away against wigan told me all i needed to know, he can score at top level and is more likely to do it than hendo.

  8. hornmeister

I think Hendo has just hit a bit of a bad spell. I'm sure he'll bounce back

  9. wfchornet2

As I have stated previously, I have never been a huge fan of Hendo, but credit where its due, he has some good qualities, I find him far too inconsistant though.

Hopefully the superrrrr watty can get a result against fulham this weekend. we'll need to be physical in midfield with them having papa bouba diop. it we start well and if the crowd roar watford on i reckon we could 'ave these. 2v1 to watford with king and francis to score

Well I've put a bet on Watford to win & King to score. Very dissapointed at the odds though. Looks like the bookies agree with us that it'll be an easy match.

I had a bet 2-1 watford win with King scoring first also.. your right the odds are shocking.
Probably taking notice of aidy saying about it being a night game!

Sky has one of the few pro Watford reviews I've found. I don't agree with their prediciton though.
    (C&P)

Watford will hope to make it seventh time lucky when they entertain Fulham on Monday evening, in a game that can be seen live on Sky Sports 1.

Adrian Boothroyd's Hornets have yet to pick up an elusive victory on their return to The Premiership but the manner of their performances have suggested they are not entirely out of their depth.

Playing with a spirit that has become synonymous with their oft praised tactician, Watford are not an easy side to contend with and Fulham will have to be up for the proverbial battle, if they are to escape from Vicarage Road intact.

In Watford's last outing they secured a stalemate with Wigan and it seems likely that Boothroyd will keep faith with those that eked out a creditable point.

Goalscorer Hamed Bouazza keeps his place in an advanced attacking role, with Darius Henderson having to content himself with a place on the bench alongside Boothroyd.

Lloyd Doyley, despite some bright early performances, also misses out as The Hornets launch their latest bid for top flight points.

Fulham have been a model of mediocrity this term in that they have secured two wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening six games - although manager Chris Coleman will be pleased enough with this start.

In their last game Fulham fell to a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea at Craven Cottage but one plus-point was the return of Papa Bouba Diop and Carlos Bocanegra, who both came through the game unscathed and will start again on Monday.

While the return of his influential duo will enthuse Coleman, of lesser cheer is that long-term absentees Mark Pembridge, Luis Boa Morte, Jimmy Bullard, Ahmad Elrich, Simon Elliott and Philippe Christanval all continue to occupy a congested treatment room.

A battle of aesthetics is likely to ensue as Fulham look to counter Watford's direct game with a neat passing style that is kinder on the eye, but not necessarily on the field - as two of The Premiership's youngest managers go head-to-head.

    Skysports.com Prediction: 1-1
    Stalemate at Vicarage Road.

    Player to watch: Marlon King

i would say the player to watch wouldnt so much be king as bouazza, of young... as for the resulkt.. 2-1 watford

Hopefull yKing & Young will score a couple as they are both in my fantasy team. I need to regain a couple of postions in the league.

once again we relaxed... cant do that against any prem side.. we all knew that HH was going to be dangerous
and an own goal as well... hard to swallow

  32. Defunct

I'm gutted. We threw that game away. Everything was going exactly to plan then they relaxed and let Fulham right back in. Yet another game we should have won but didn't. I know we'll be OK eventually but I'll feel so much better when we get that first win.

  33. The Hornet

The Hornet The Quiet Mod is Watching

I agree, we should of won last night.

We was 2-0 up and then we sat back, I can't beleive that we did not challange there keeper when he cleared the ball from the half way line which led to one of their goals. What were they thinking?

  34. wfchornet2

    wfchornet2 The Prodigal mod

I was thinking that last night, and when they got their first goal i knew it was all going to fall apart, and as for the own goal well.. i know helgi got a piece of his back foot but that was unforgiveable, im glad he was taken straight off after.
only positive was 2 superb goals from young and the 100th league goal of kings career, wtg King, quite a milestone.

  35. wfchornet2

    wfchornet2 The Prodigal mod

    to add one more thing....
I think it was a mistake on aidy's part to change the formation to a 4-5-1 like he did... i feel that that sent the players the wrong message, we seem to play alot better playing attacking football than we do being defensive and setting a defensive stance was the wrong move in my book.
