What's the best option to get to Wembley stadium from Watford?

And what sort of time are most planning on going for?

Guess people might go to Euston or from Stanmore? - if the tube is running!

It comes down to a choice of 3 really doesn't it ?
Tube, and assume that some sort of service will run
Train, lower risk but likely to be incredibly busy, or
Drive, park a mile from the ground, and walk.

We booked a 7-seater cab to drop us about a mile from the stadium, leaving Bushey at about 2pm. Did it for the semi, £25 split between us was reasonable and convenient.

I’m driving down from Leicester and was thinking of parking up in Stanmore. Parking a mile from the ground and walking hadn’t entered my head as an option but thinking about it, does appeal to me. Can anyone recommend a car park or road where I could park up? Cheers

The restricted parking kicks in by Sudbury Town tube station (Greenford side, off Whitton Avenue). About 30-35 mins walk to stadium, albeit through the ghetto that is Wembley High Road.

£25 from centralish watford ? That's not bad. Same for the return back to watford ?
There's the 0.00001% chance that we actually win and get our heads kicked in by some irate northerners.

The side roads off Whitton Avenue East (A4090) aren't restricted on a Saturday. Crossgate, Greengate, Orchard Gate MAY be tight, but Ashness Gardens on the opposite side of the road should be OK. If, as expected, the Underground is knackered, that's where I'll be heading.

All the roads the other side of pedestrian bridge over the tube line are covered by the restricted/"tow away" parking zone.

You can still get the club coaches for £15 return to Greenhill Crescent.

The tube strike is only affecting the District, Piccadilly and Central lines. Those 3 will still be running on a disrupted service.

    Wembley will be all clear.

Surely train could work with number going every hour??

Should do but i guess depends on how many want to get on and how full the trains already are when they arrive at watford (assuming none start there).

Hemel to Wembley Central, on the beer at the Green Man, walk to fan park for another beer then in to the Stadium. Watch Troy lift the cup and then back to Wembley Central and back to the town for a decadent night.

Don't go to Stanmore, will be packed and difficult to park unless prebooked parking. Go further along line and park at Queensbury. Car park is always empty and covered in CCTV and only 2 stops away from Wembley.

  28. In answer to the Irish fella's question, I plan to get to the ground about 16.55 if that helps.

I plan to leave about 17.20.

They do start at Watford Junction, and are designed with inward facing seats down the side with loads of room for standing.
