I'd to think a few might risk themselves if we needed to but it does seem we are having a injury crisis at the end of the season. Over time for the medical staff!
So yeah, don't know what the hell the lineup is going to look like, but it's going to be at least some degree of keystone cops - currently missing: Cleverley Chalobah Femenia Ngakia Hungbo Sarr Meanwhile the impact of news that 'Club captain Troy Deeney has been pushing hard to be involved in the match day squad' has been felt as far away as another galaxy:
The club should keep a track of everyone who pays £10 to watch this game and ban them from Vicarage Road for life.
Could be good news. Could be a farewell 5 mins from the bench to wave at the cameras before the obligatory 90 mins post match media work.
Yeah, it's true that the fact that he's 'back to fitness' would almost certainly help encourage/facilitate a sale compared to if he was still 'out'. That's what I'm holding desperately on to, anyway.
Mazzarri seems to have a mini Mazzarri growing out of neck , like in “How to get ahead in advertising “
Betting on Deeney scoring a penalty and then trying to compare himself to Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero?
Even with all the injuries, we can still line up with a squad more than good enough to beat them. Bachmann Cathcart Kaba/Ekong Sierralta Masina Hughes Gosling Sanchez PZ7 Pedro Sema. Could even go; Bachmann Cathcart Kaba/Ekong Sierralta Masina Hughes Pedro Gosling PZ7 Perica Sema Knowing Xisco though, I fully expect; Bachmann Cathcart Ekong Sierralta Masina Hughes Gosling Sanchez Success Gray Sema
This is simple. The game is irrelevant for both sides. Foster Cathcart - Wilmot - Ekong - Lazaar Pochettino - Gosling - Sanchez Gray - Deeney - Success Have the bench consist of Zinckernagel, Sema, Bachmann and U-something-or-others.
As long as it involves us not beating the first man, then I’m sure you can satisfy yourself that they have used it! In all seriousness, would be good to know what this was come the close of play on Saturday!
I can't believe people actually think Sarr is injured. He's probably just being wrapped in cotton wool for such pointless fixtures. It wouldn't surprise me if JP and Chabs are also just being given rests.
Not so for Swansea - you want to go into the playoffs with good momentum and high confidence. I reckon, like Brentford last week, Swansea will play a strong side. The only reason I care a tiny bit more than zero is because it would be nice to end the season with no team doing the double over us. But I’m clutching at straws really, trying to find a reason to give a **** about the match. As someone said earlier, would have been a nice game to celebrate promotion if we were at the Vic but, as it is, meh.
The counter argument to that is if they play full strength and lose then it’s even more damaging. If they play a weakened team they don’t have to let the result affect them either way. Plus you’d absolutely kick yourself if a first teamer got an injury or suspension.
I always want to win always. However it is very hard to be motivated for this. I'm still enjoying the enormous sense of relief and satisfaction before I enter my 'worrying' stage in approximately two weeks time. COYH!
Fwiw I don’t care either way, it’s about as pointless a fixture as you could get and we’ve clearly given up anyway.
Sarr looks like he has been carrying a few knocks for the last couple of months. He'll also be pretty exhausted, having played a lots of football with very few breaks. Giving him an extended summer break sounds obvious. We'll hopefully be giving playing time to anyone we want to sell this summer, youth players and/or anyone borderline playing for their next contract.
Elliot Cathcart Wilmot Kabasele Masina Gosling Hughes Phillips Zinckernagel Perica Pedro Foster, Sierralta, Troost-Ekong, Pochettino, Crichlow, Cukur, Sema, Crichlow, Lawal. Why not, nobody cares anyway.
Think Emma is going to have to promise something special for halftime to get me interested enough to part with £10 for Hive for this one
I think quite a few of the players missing out now due to 'minor injuries' would have played on if we'd needed points.
As he's been kicked from pillar to post for most of the season, I'd imagine they're letting him recover from a build up of annoying but not serious knocks. You're correct in suggesting that if we needed a result, he'd be OK to play, as would Chabolah.
With the forecast wet weather, at least the Swansea players won't risk any impact injuries as they crash to the floor under the vicious breathing of any of our lot who go near them.
If we win we have what looks like the best home record ever in the Championship with 59 points. Might help us if we could actually muster 11 fit players.
I didn't say he was injured The article doesn't even say he was out, it says he is being constantly assessed or something, I just assessed from reading that that there is no way he's going to play - you see?
