Watford Fc - Set Piece Shamble Experts

Just looking at these, and putting on my data analysis hat, how come so few are bang on the money (City, Burnley and Muff) - is it because they have very rigorous set piece regimes?

 

Yeah, they create high quality chances and put them away, then in defence they only really concede from the opponents high quality chances.

 

This is what happens when you change your manager too often .
Every boss has his way of doing things be it systems , patterns of play
set pieces.
Every couple of weeks the team have a new way of defending or attacking
set pieces and it only takes a lapse in concentration to do something the old
way and a goal may get conceded.

 

Also I can't think of a better club in the PL who's backroom model suits a set-piece specialist more than Watford - it's one less thing taken away from the managers control. Imagine this season scoring a decent amount from set-pieces. Imagine the season under Silva without the awful zonal marking system.

 

I think what irks me the most about this is that Reids offered his services to the club for free and in the end, they couldn't be bothered to get back to him.

Because they know best. It sums it up really. The usual self-important people refusing to listen to anyone else who might, just might, know a little better on a specific subject.
