We thought we'd share some of the information we've built up over the past year or so as an easy one-stop thread for basic player information. To the best of our knowledge the information presented below is correct and covers the 2019/20 season up to December 31 2019 (barring further loan transfers to English non-League clubs or current loan agreements ending prematurely). When possible, information has been verified from at least two sources where the official site hasn't been used. Player positions for the 1st team, u23 & u18 squads have been identified from the official site player pages. The academy players positions have been sourced from match reports or individual player articles found in the corners of the internet not necessarily associated with Watford Football Club so, other than the goalkeepers, may not be 100% accurate. Players are presented in surname alphabetical order within their positional groups for the 1st team, u23 & u18 squads. Updated squad list as of February 1st, 2020. Players out on loan are coloured yellow. Home grown players are coloured off-pink. One obvious mistake is listing Joao Pedro's contract status as pre-contract when it is due to end on 30 June 2025. Well the Under 23s/18s cannot complain about a lack of players then.. Almost a 25 man squad in itself! Big question is how many will play for us again/at all?
u18/u23 update Adam Parkes has joined Havant & Waterlooville on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season - February 1st, 2020.
