I don't think our last two televised matches have been a great advert for our cause. Or am I wrong?

  2. Don't think the second half of last season was a great advert, but we're still here so sod it.

I can't remember the last time a 'big' MNF game was anything other than a dull anticlimax.

It is funny that MOTD 2 was moved to Monday for this game. They then have a go at Middlesborough vs Watford for being boring yesterday while the ' quality' MNF match was supposed to be one of the games of the season. It turns out Liverpool vs Utd was even worse - there were about 3 decent chances created in the entire game.

Statistically, tonight's game was worse, at least in the first half. Hilarious. Best league in the world my backside.

'Red Monday' beats 'Yellow Sunday' because of all the world class players on show.

Success has twice the potential of Rashford.

Tonight was boring because we saw two world class teams cancel each other out thanks to two top coaches using their tactical expertise.

Yesterday was boring because it was two championship teams that always play ****. Simple.

What about the crap passing and total lack of quality this evening?

Typical Jose set up away from home against the big boys.

Certainly Man U won't have the same attacking threat as they had under Fergie!

You're obviously not listening to the pundits. The incomplete passes in last nights game was down to superb pressing and movement off the ball.

Us and Middlesbrough can't pass because we are crap and don't belong in the EPL. Pay attention to the pundits in future and you might learn something. They know their stuff you know.

I only saw the first 30 minutes, but I gather that there was nothing to equal the three highlights of the Boro/Watford match - a terrible reffing decision (made twice), Holebas's goal and the Holebas/Capoue spat. What an entertainer that Holebas is!

    2 Good; 2 Bad:

2 Good: Thought the 2 pundits had it nailed on last night. Both said we were tactically spot on, went to stifle and succeeded in preventing anything near an opportunity, and stole the win. Summed it up pretty well and did at least a bit of tactical analysis on us.

2 Bad: Highlights showed all Boro's pen appeals but nothing on the obvious red card. None of the 3 or 4 Barragan challenges that all deserved a yellow equating to at least 1 red! Gotta expect that if there was a definite red card moment in the Pool v Manu match, they'd be complaining about it and analysing it for half an hour, but completely glossed over that from our game.

It was odd that they didn't even show the incidents.

However we must allow them sufficient time to discuss Jose's jacket/casual zip up v Jurgen's training top. Something had to go!

Presenter to Phil Neville concerning the draw on the EFL Cup show on C5 last night:

Presenter: "So Phil, any stand out ties there?"

PN: "It's gotta be Manchester United v West Ham".

Shocker Phil. real shocker!!! 7th vs 15th. Real stand out tie.

    Numbnuts.

Slightly different topic, but does anyone watching Soccer Saturday today think Merson seems drunk? Slurring his words and struggling to get sentences out.

Why anyone would want to give Merson an iota of attention in the first place baffles me. Inarticulate, incoherent and impossibly stupid at times. The ideal qualifications it would appear to be a football pundit.

Why does MOTD insist on trying to make viewers laugh with terrible jokes? Dreadful commentary, often get their facts wrong. Questioning the Leicester manager last week on his birthday cake. I heard 5 live this afternoon they went to a reporter at the Fulham Huddersfield game. ' And its Fulham 4 Hudderfield 0 yes Fulham 0 Huddersfield 4' then she repeated the same mistake at the end of the report leaving the listener confused as to what the score was.

Alexis Sanchez got more of a mention than any Watford player apart from Amrabat in the post match talk on MOTD. The pundits were all saying on the last day of last of last season how ' strange' it was for QSF to be dismissed when I quote from Danny Murphy ' I dont believe any Watford fan would want QSF to go'. Yet they dont give Watford much credit for being 7th in the league after 10 games, bet they all had us down for a season struggling against relegation at the start of the season. I have to give them some credit though for not mentioning that Watford's fantastic start of the season is due to the brilliant strike partnership of Deeney and Ighalo.

Not sure what we've done to be so disliked/ignorable. Alan Green was up to his usual tricks on 5Live. Wetting himself over the first half of the Palace/Liverpool game he commented about how lucky we were they were not bringing us Middlesbrough/Watford. Now true admittedly but still, not fair!

Last few games have been dog rough I guess but, as has been said, you wouldn't think we were 7th, a position which must have disappeared down a black hole this week.

Alan Green is a vile pompous ass, annoying with no obvious talent. All football fans hate him in my experience. Only the BBC would employ such a ****.

Well of course he loved doing Liverpool as he supports them!

Remember when we beat Leeds in the play-off final at Cardiff - Green was so disappointed that they hadn't got the promotion they deserve for being a big club with a proud history..

10 years later and Leeds haven't come close to promotion!

Alan Green's opinions are the same as 90% of the media. If you're not a top 6 club then you are as exciting as watching wet paint dry.

All fixtures have to contain a top 6 club or it's not worth watching. I hate this type of sn0bbery, but it's rife in football.

The only time the media give any credit to "unfashionable" clubs is the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
