If this has really been leaked I wonder if it is to gauge opinion before a decision has been made?
Shorts don't matter
I seem to remember reading something saying the designs of the following season's shirts are signed off before Christmas.
It's a logical step up from a half and half scarf to a half and half shirt.
IMO it needs one of the sleeves to be black. It feels like there's not quite the right amount of black on it.
Good to see the club have a sense of humour.
Excellent post by the club. I like their suggestion.
Hilarious LOL LMFAO ROFL
A bit disappointed that the club didn't show the new hats with bells on that the players will be wearing during games
“We acknowledge that the debate over red or black shorts has divided fans for years and so, with a view to bridging that rift, the new strip includes the bold choice of alabaster white shorts, with the lattice design also woven into the yellow socks to complete the prominent ensemble.”
So... red, black or white shorts?
Probably deserves its own thread or three?
its better than a few kits we've had in the past
Well I for one think it's outrageous. I'm outraged I tell you.
We were so very nearly the Happy Egg Company so I could get on board with tartan.
An homage to the old Harlequin?
Works for me!
The leak was real:
Club have styled it out though.
I quite like it.
So it was genuine...not a fan.
It was a joke. The real new kit is Intu halves.
It's not a bad kit (the half/half one), but I can't help but think either one of the sleeves being black would have been an improvement
That's the first thing I said when I saw it. Can only think it's been done that way so they players can wear those long sleeved undershirt tops in yellow rather than have to make their own half and half ones (the rules state they have to match the shirt colour - a bit like Deulofeu's tights at Old Trafford).
MY REPLY WAS ALSO A JOKE!!!
I love the half half one
Another change of sponsor given none shown on the club’s statement? Or perhaps they are just expecting FX Pro to maybe change their logo?
I like the new design and think it’s good the club are trying to mix things up.
Adidas are simply kit porning us now to make up for season 1's stock kit fiasco.
I loved the stripes. But this is chuffing awesome.
First outing on Sunday ? Would be great if the sun was really bright.
Why didn they say it was a prank next time il not fool for it again
I must admit I quite like the style of halved shirts, very late 19th century, but I'm sure at the latest At Your Place event it was stated the stripes would be staying. Or are these just two very broad stripes?
Perfect to go with the half and half scarves.
The new shirt will be at the centre of my half & half shrine with the central line/seam perfectly placed in the centre of the wall. I can at last find peace.
Duxberry said ‘we will have a stripe of some sort’.
So you’d have to suggest that he had probably already seen the idea and concluded a division of black and yellow down the middle constitutes a stripe.
Or he was being playful knowing our manufacturer means we will have stripes on the shirt regardless of design.
In the original kit release statement today, the April Fool's lattice design, the final paragraph says...
'The Club will also be undertaking a complete security audit across the business to ensure absolutely no details are revealed of the all navy-blue away strip for the 2019/20 season.'
A truth hidden within the joke?
I think it is fairly well known that everyone hated the navy away kit we had under Boothroyd, so I doubt it.
Our relegation strip.
