There was the Bournemouth game as well when the guy should have been sent off twice and then had an assist for their equaliser. But otheriwse Hornetboy is spot on, its been dire. Unfortunately you just know what the squads going to be. Deeney and offside up front while Pericia, Pedro & Success will be on the bench if at all. Hughes will be shoved out on the left wing while our actual left winger is sat on the bench. Zinkerwhatever, despite being full of confidence after coming off a season in which he got 30 odd goals/assists will get a 5 minute cameo towards the end. We will continue with the Cleverly/Chalobah partnership in the middle despite them showing all season that they have struggled to get up and down the pitch and have zero movement when a team mate haas the ball. Both will become increaasingly frustrated as the game progresses and give away multiple niggly freekicks with atleast one of them getting booked. Cleverley will look knackered after 15 minutes and despite signing a left back who has spent abit of time training with us we will start Ngakia whose right footed out of position.
I would have thought the Fixed Wireless Broadband you mentioned would have helped your online adventures?
Yes. They could make it more interesting by each team only being able to field 3 players when they play Italy.
Dont know why but watching the BWs go round with their pitch forks and burning torches, busily like-clicking each others posts in support of their respective online feuds, reminds me of the boys in William Goldings' "Lord of the Flies".
A bit late but that was some cracking work on the video. As for the game, it's going to be a dull affair. 1-0 To us, or maybe them.
I am on the same side of the fence but I'm not bothered about the tenner, I'm just very p'd off with the team performances and not prepared to waste the time whilst shouting at the TV anymore. (I might just log in to Hive if I hear we are 2 nil up at half time, but then I just KNOW that if I do it'll be 2-2 or 2-3 at FT...!!!!!
Yep. Always a pleasure when LittleRoss pops up. Taking a random unprovoked swipe at people a week or so after posting: "I can freely admit that you are the kind of saddo who pins his self identity on winning non existent , fabricated arguments with complete strangers on the internet , most probably to paper over the the cracks of a fundamental, real world insecurity . Probably just down to being a boring **** I guess ." An angry man who doesn't understand irony.
It's a combination of both. Robert Lindsey plays an ageing Harry Kane, aged 71 and whilst trying to win a trophy with Spurs and start a revolution in Tooting, aided by Orson Wells.
Lots of games postponed due to frozen pitch incl some in the champ. Surely all clubs at that level have undersoil heating these days ? Presume we do ?
The temperature is going to struggle to get up to zero today. I wholly expect our precious players to be second to everything all game, and I'll consider a 0-2 defeat as a success in relative terms. I actually fear a season turning thrashing today, to be honestly pessimistic.
Anyone else swear they were not watching us for the rest of the season after the Cov game and now they’ve got their match pass for today? We actually looked like we had ambitions to enter the opposition half when we brought on Hughes, Pedro and Perica last week. Funny that ain’t it Xisco. If you don’t start all 3 of them today then you might as well go.
I think I must be a bit mad because I’ve woken up today excited for the game andhoping for a good performance . However how likely is this given the team selection and everything else us likely to be the same as usual.
Ahh the weather - poor Pedro's going to need an extra blanket, thicker gloves, bigger flask and another water bottle in reserve!! Tough day at the office for the lads.
Just take 2 paracetamols, get yourself a hot drink, go back to bed and hopefully you will feel better by 1700!
Will be good to see Mariappa back in action again, his presence really exposed the stupid nature of our fanbase last season. Whenever he was in the starting 11 it generated a vile amount of abusive comments from fans online. When the club didn't confirm his departure (despite clearly stating he had only signed a short term contract extension to July, and hosting a dinner event to celebrate his service to the club) the same idiots were in uproar on here and twitter.
I think we've reached the critical mass stage where everyone at the club knows what we need to do. With the exception of Deeney starting, I've got a feeling things might move in the right direction today......and then spiral downwards in an uncontrollable death spin in the weeks and months ahead no doubt!
If we serve up another 0-0 stinker, surely we're in the territory of being able to demand our money back, like when clubs refund travelling fans after losing 5-0?
