Are we lol, I thought we'd gone back to be basically ignored by all teams outside those who harbour ambitions of promotion
NB, I don't mean literal bite, I get the feeling Stipe might need to be told in no uncertain terms...
my last band fell apart live on stage with a swearing match between the bass player and the rest of us as he walked off stage , however it was mid 90s and we were a dodgy punk band , although to be fair every band I have been in split live on stage (normally with people throwing things at us)
I’m looking forward to a mid week match. would like to see Sarr, Capoue and Hughes back , would leave JP up front for a few more games to see if a more inventive midfield give him better chances. last weeks game was odd (and not that fun to watch) , but let’s be honest our defence looks very strong we just need some new ideas up top, having said that every time we got in their box we found 11 derby players in there so not sure what we could have done. Wanna see Sarr charging down one side Sema down the other , Hughes and Capoue ranging through the middle and JP banging them in from up front
Vlad tonight: Q: would you rather win 4-3 or 1-0 ? A: 1-0 Absolutely monosyllabic answer to that question!
****, is this on Wednesday? I play on wed evenings. I'm gonna miss it. Oh yeah, we're horrible to watch, so I guess I won't miss much.
Notable absentees from the U23s tonight were Joseph Hungbo, Daniel Phillips, Toby Stevenson & JJ McKiernan. I suspect the first three will be around the squad for Blackburn. McKiernan was on international duty and I read he'd taken a couple of heavy knocks so I doubt his exclusion has anything to do with the 1st team. Sonny Blu Lo-Everton didn't feature for the U18s on Saturday nor the U23s tonight. I believe that's because he's having to self-isolate after his Scotland U19 game versus England was abandoned at half-time due to a positive test for COVID becoming apparent for one of the Scottish coaches. Again, I doubt it's because he's being kept back to be around the 1st team squad this week.
Well Stevenson will be for the short term as we have no other left backs. I presume Capoue might replace Phillips in the squad but again we have 2 midfielders out in Hughes and TDB. And well no Deeney or Gray but Perica will be back. So you'd feel 2 of them won't be in the match day squad. Unless someone else gets injured which is likely!!!
Will we be seeing Phillips in basically every squad going forward now given he's pretty much the only homegrown player we have anywhere near the first team? Don't suppose it's guaranteed we see both Hungbo and Stevenson in the first team squad for Blackburn as Perica is back which might put Joao Pedro out on the wing (where he's best imo) and Sema at LWB ahead of Femenia
Regardless of the lack of alternatives, we can't play this bloke after watching him get rinsed for pace multiple times by a not-very-speedy Newport winger. I imagine we'd do almost any kind of contortion (playing Cathcart/Sierralta on the right and moving Ngakia across, or dropping Ken all the way back) before we play him in a Championship game.
We've already seen squads without Phillips so that isn't correct. Can't remember which one (maybe both?) but Wilmot or Quina tick that box apparently.
I bought that single. It was dreadful but not as bad as "Mother" by Andy Summers on one of the early albums. Hideous noise.
