    Next league cup game probably.

Disappointing to still be winless at the end of October, especially after not getting a result at home against Sheff Utd. I thought today might be the day but I supposed looking on the bright side, at least we didn't lose.

Would anyone have taken 2 points from those games though? I sincerely doubt it. I wonder how long can we go without winning before Gino looks elsewhere, again?

That was purgatory. Match, weather the lot. Don't know why I/we do it really. Not angry. Just well fed up.

I think Bournemouth have to much pace and would have ripped us apart if we went all out.

So sit back, have 40% possession, less than half the goal attempts, half the corners, hang on for a 0-0, ....at home to muff. Is that the answer ?

    We wear yellow yes?

I have never been to a game where so many bookings were handed out, Holebas would of been proud.

Absolutely rancid weather, probably could of been called off but glad it wasn't. Well, what can I say? We should of won, we should of lost. I guess I should be happy with the draw considering that. Why should we have won? Doucoure' should of scored our first real chance. It was a bad bounce, but he had the time to get it a bit more under control. Delafoo hit the bar, Hughes could of scored late on, probably should have. Why should we have lost? Because Foster made me eat humble pie today. He was superb, back to his best. Fantastic save right on half time, super stop - probably got us a point in the end.

Bournemouth were the better side, they should have scored with their chances, King especially. Good performance from Dawson today, getting much better and playing like we hoped he would. Very defensive today again, but another clean sheet - have to be happy with that at least, but we are so blunt up top. Gray came on and had a decent half chance at the far post which he screwed up as per usual, but defensively solid enough. Being the home side, it's amazing how we are probably more greatful for a point. Bournemouth have so much more attacking intent, they have strikers I sort of wish we had.

Weather probably didn't help as the surface must of been difficult - but with such a defensive play, and strikers who cannot score, what else did we really expect. On another day we could of lost 3-0, but could of won 3-0. Fine margins. With Welbeck out, Gray crap and no sign of Deeney for a month at least, I do not know where our goals are going to come from. Foster saved us today - apart from Hughes' shot and Doucoure's miss, we rarely threatened their goal. But here are some final positives:

    • We did not lose
    • Three games unbeaten
    • Results tomorrow withstanding, we are now three points from 17th.

Oh, and in such a record breaking season, we broke another one today:

Longest Winless Run Do we get a cup for that?

Should of lost - muff were better overall especially going forward Weather crap. Sorry I am repeating myself - bit like our current attacking force. Everton in the cup next - don't really care if we go out - I am more concerned with our league position. Be nice to knock the snake out though. Onwards to Chelsea - draw? Yep. And at least most of us would probably take that result.

If Doucoure grabs another early goal, we repeat the Spurs game and steal the win this time IMO.

The playing squad is so horribly unbalanced right now and all of a sudden Deeney looks to be our best striking option.

I hate the way we set up but I can’t even be mad at QSF. Should we have any composure in the final third it’s six points from our last two games.

    Pereyra fantastic yet again.

GD is just an idiot. An idiot capable of some magic to make you love him but when it doesn’t come off, you just hate him. No inbetween.

Foster redeemed himself today. Dawson also brilliant.

I cannot blame anyone but Gino, Scott & Giraldi.

Couldn’t defend under Javi and now we’ve gone to the other extreme of not being able to score. The squad is so unbalanced, you have to play a back five to be able to defend and then you’ll have to sacrifice somewhere else to be able to score. Because we don’t have a striker capable of being a lone forward and we don’t have two defenders capable of being a centre back partnership without having an obvious deficiency. It’s poor, poor recruitment and for that I blame the above three.

It's these kind of games that keep you in touching distance of other teams where you are in a rut. Until we are able to sort ourselves out up front we're doing better and cutting out individual errors now a lot more, and covering the ones we are making.

It's not pretty and it is frustrating. But it's the best option we have right now

Still trying to see the positives for this season after that but it’s becoming very difficult .Theres no doubt qsf has worked wonders tightening up our defence . We now look solid and we are hard to beat .

... but we just don’t look like scoring . I never felt at any point we were going to score today . The system is weird without a proper centre forward and there doesn’t seem to be anyone making runs into the area .

I don’t really blame qsf for this. I think he’s doing thd right thing as we were leaking goals to a ridiculous extent .I think we need to play this defensive system .

What can he do? Wellbeck and Deeney are injured and starting Gray upfront is a bit of a gamble, due to his technical issues .

I just don’t see where the goals are gonna come from . Maybe when Deeney gets back that could kickstart us but it might be . Too late Maybe when we finally get that win it will start a run of results . Confidence is clearly lacking . Can anyone give me some hope please ?

Glad you said it and not me. The error was made eight times actually. And, surprisingly, once used correctly.

Don't know why we bother really. The message would appear to be falling on stony ground.

    Masina was injured ..

    Well another 0/0.

Foster saved us at times and we once again missed chances .

Defence pretty solid but we just looked disjointed up front .

Hughes had a shocker and others were sloppy .

Same. I don't blame Quique, I'm not angry at any particular players. I think that Quique has worked a minor miracle in getting 2 clean sheets in 3 games and being close to a 3rd, by getting our porous defence to have some sort of structure. I'm not sure he can turn our attack into anything threatening.

The whole unit going forward is dysfunctional. There are certainly some good players at times, but they are not a balanced unit. No physical presence and we're playing wingers up front.

I blame the failings 100% squarely on the head of Gino and the recruitment policy. I dont understand how they could have come to tur conclusion that the signings they made in the summer were the right priority or of sufficient quality to do the job.

Looking at the bench today, there are no options there which promise to resolve our issues.

Bringing in Gray was the only card Quique could play, but honestly, he was appalling. One of the most inept football performances from a human Male in the history of the earth. He offers nothing outside of the box and what we need is someone to hold up play or act as a target, for Delyfeyu to play off.

I feel that the players are giving their all, but that this is their limit.

Final mention for Foulquier, who I hope has, in his two cameos for us, fulfilled his entire quota of Watford appearances for all of time, because he is a total piece of garbage.

    Twice as well.

It’s SO annoying how slow he reacts to the ball coming into him. He leans into the defender, then moves forward to make his touch to control it so late and in that time the defenders got in front of him and stole the ball.

He’s always uncomfortable and on his heels. It’s crazy how he’s a professional footballer honestly, not over reacting. His all round game is SO bad.

I don't have a problem with Gray not starting if the ones up front on the pitch are scoring. Here's a stat for you I read earlier...

"Watford's Gerard Deulofeu (2 attempts, 1 on target today) has had more shots (24) and more shots on target (10) without scoring than any other player in the Premier League this season."

Anyone suffering from insomnia needs to get down to the Vic. As dull as dishwater. I though Foster was excellent and the defence looked reasonably assured, but the attacking play was really poor. I can barely remember a shot on target. Deeney is our best attacking option, which says it all.

Wouldn't agree with this at the moment. QSF summed up last couple of games in his post match comments.

"Defending well is a good base, but I can feel when we are on the opposition's box the players are still a little bit nervous and they can sometimes take bad decisions."

It's visible in the play. The team is bereft of confidence in front of goal, and that's not going away until we win a game.

That's what makes the VAR display against Spurs so galling. We were absolutely robbed of a win that would have restored confidence.

Watford is currently the epitome of depression. Nothing going our way, the future looks bleak and a lack of smiles walking past the Vic as we leave again, without a win... In 10 games...

You cannot deny it was better than the same fixture last year.

We did lose an awful lot of the comparative games last season. I think 7 points compared to our 5 now.

Not saying we'll stay up, because I don't think we will... just looking for a positive when there really isn't one!

Quick one that I may be going mad. At the end of the game, GD had the ball on the halfway line, Hughes burst through the middle and would’ve had the whole Bournemouth half to himself and GD just ran towards the GT stand with the ball only for a Bmouth defender to come over?

Do I recall that incorrectly? Because if so, ******* hell Geri.

So many misplaced passes and slow play.

Chelsea will be too good for our defence next week even if they play well.

Bertrand was sent off by VAR last night and Brighton got a VAR pen. today. So some evidence then that the refs/VAR are belatedly 'wiseing up' and recognising that their previous 'efforts' were untenable and couldn't continue.

One matchday too late for us of course. In fact, the b.llocks inflicted on us last weekend may have been the last straw and the catalyst for sensible change.

Not the worst point in the world but we need to be turning these draws into wins sooner rather than later.

Our set-pieces are useless, doesnt even seem to be a plan, before the weekends games we were the 19th worst team in the league from corners (ahead of Leicester). Luckily Dean Austin has accepted my LinkedIn request so hopefully I can have a chat with him about this..

No but the answer is clearly not to go all out against a side with the pace of Bournemouth there is absolute no way we would have outscored them if we did.
