    Hello,

My name is Emil R*nnlund, and I'm a Swedish journalist.

I'm currently working on a piece on the Brexits affects on the Premier League, especially the FA:s proposal to reduce the number of allowed non-homegrown players from 17 to 12.

Depicting this I don't want to talk to some suits up at St George's Park or Wembley, but rather take it to fans and players – people heavily invested with the sport but without much insight in its governing body. I'm especially looking for a Watford fan on this.

If this sounds interesting to you, think you know someone who you think would love to partake or just have some input or question, don't hesitate to contact me on ronnlund.emil@gmail.com.

Looking forward to hearing from you! And congratulations on the FA Cup final spot!

    All the best,
    Emil R*nnlund

I think you'll have more luck promoting a discussion here.

Not sure if Brexit (If it happens) will have an effect really.
The FA have harsher employment regulations that that of immigration rules within the EU and the government are unlikely to prevent high earners entering the country if immigration rules change.

As a tool to imporve the national stock, limiting numbers of foreign based players has backfired as it's meant that there's an artificial price rise placed on homegrown talent. Youngsters get snapped up to fill the squads of the top teams whilst not playing and devloping and hence the national side suffers because of it.

The only way to improve the numbers of home-grown players properly is to invest in training up home-grown players. Artificial quotas are not the answer as it's a supply & demand business so the smaller clubs suffer.
