Just bantz mate, wasn't a statement of any real intent.
Proper light bulbs back, blue passports (Eng-er-lund) and 50bn invested into the nhs mate. Dont even mention control of our own destiny.
I thought we played pretty well and was pleased that we capitulated early instead of leaving it to the 90th minute which is even more depressing.
As for Burnley I thought they were pretty poor but then I have thought that for a while yet they keep doing well so I suspect my thinking may be flawed. Good for them and hope they have fun in Europe. I do think if Dyche leaves they will be in trouble and crash at some point.
As for the Burnley fans IQ and political leanings I don’t think football fans are typically intelligent or fine specimens of human beings so suspect they are no better or worse than our lot. Let’s be honest we’re all scum.
some people will benefit hugely from brexit, especially a chaotic one.
I'm not one of those people though so I voted remain. Given the huge amount of leave voters in burnley, I assume it's a hotbed of disaster capitalists. Otherwise I've got some bad news for the knuckle draggers....
Or Welbourne & Williams.
Not good if Gracia is causing the fanbase sleepless nights.
Kinnock comes out poorly in the book of Marta Andreasen, the EU whistleblower.
Cynical & bullying.
Self interest & the interests of the EU to the exclusion of all else.
Mind you, the whistleblower was somewhat unbalanced.
In more news, I used to quite fancy Glenys although did precious little about it.
Not sure why people are getting so upset about Burnley's style. What were you expecting, something similar to the Brazil team of the early 70s? There may not be much to like about them but they are certainly effective and I thought the way they 'managed the game' after going ahead was admirable. I wish we could learn to the do the same
Try Aston Villa....the natives are unhappy with Bruce.
An unsurprising reaction to the influx in recent times of young men, mainly from the Friuli region, who have come over here taking our jobs, particularly Tommy Hoban's.
That's very unfair.
Poor Tom has a full time job: being injured. Come to think of it,he's not alone there!
I didn't appreciate that he had so much control.
SD seems to enjoy his 'trip down memory lane' visits to The Vic & long may they continue.
We are the Barcelona of being injured.
If that were the sole criterion, half the @rsenal squad would be nudging their agents to call WD18.
Yes - I think he regretted that a bit. I think his arm was twisted (hard to retire when you're an action man) a bit and he gave in.
I'm surprised you think Arfield could be released. I've always rated him highly.
I saw that too, and really liked it. One of us is an ignorant pleb - you decide!
Any twigs or carrots involved?
This put me in mind of Poe's Law a lot.
Did you see the tweet from Brussels on 1 April announcing that the colour of EU passports is to be changed to dark blue?
My attempt at objective thoughts re. Saturday:
1. It's so depressing that we're now scrabbling around for the odd point to crawl over the line given where we were following Tom's winner against the Gooners. And it ain't all Silva's fault. A problem closer to home methinks.
2.The Clarets wern't as bad as has been made out re. playing a bit of football. They did a bit of it too especially down their left flank although from 10 mins. to their equaliser we were the better footballing team.
3. After they went ahead they 'game managed'. It ain't pretty but we all do it. Us included. I think we had the worst stats. of the season re. our draw at Stoke. So don't throw stones in glass houses eh? It's all very sad but unless the football authorities make an attempt to deal with it comprehensively then I suspect it will continue. A loss in TV revenues might be a catalyst for change.
4. We do seem to be an accident waiting to happen defensively to a 'chucked in long ball'. For Ake to Defoe read Mapps to Vokes. I love Mapps to death for his heart and courage but maybe he just doesn't have what it takes for the top flight. He also played a Muff in last week after dill-dallying with two of them on him leaving Prodl to make a last-ditch tackle. Sometimes a hoof into row z is what's required. One complete bloomer per match is too much.
5. Why has this thread disappeared off the front page so quickly?
Don't think I've ever seen so many re's crammed into one post before.
(re the use of the apostrophe, it's wrong I know but without just looks plain odd).
Three Burnley players could have scored their second goal. They all had space and time to take their pick.
Mariappa is just not good enough. Prodl is too slow and cannot get his feet off the ground to win any headers.
We are making the same mistakes under Javi as with Silva. I am sure the owners have noticed this already.
A new manager is probably be tapped up for 2018/19 as l write.
There were three in six paras. You need to get out more.
Looking at the WO comments section - their anger makes this site look pretty placid and tame!
They are quite potty on there at times!
No mention of vegetables,Brexit or anything in between either.
