Scrap that, Steam. Just bought Elite Dangerous, Far Cry 4 and Just Cause 2 (to fill the time until I can buy Just Cause 3) for £27, good times.

Preloaded JC3 before I left for work this morning. i7 4790k, 970 SLI and 16GB RAM should make for good times. Apparantly though SLI isn't functioning yet for JC3. Thank God these cards are strong enough as it is.

Heh i'm just under, i5-4690k, single 970 and 8GB RAM. Should still be more than adequate though.

Bought an xbox one 1GB with halo, battlefront and another controller for £280 cash and vouchers (from Tesco - I was going to buy it from Game but I didn't like the assistant's attitude or product knowledge and I was suprised by the Tesco woman's help and knowledge in getting me the best deal - and she was at least 10 years older than me)

The xbox front end is really clunky but it's beeb behaving flawlessly as a HD media centre. The halo game hasn't been played much since we got Star Wars. So far we've only played it offline but I'm getting more confident to go and join in online. The four maps look pretty good.

Only 1gb hard drive?. Is everything cloud based on the Xbox?

  7. Until Dawn is decent

Haven't managed to get more than 2 to survive yet...

I have noticed that with the apps (Media Center, BBC iplayer, C4) and games (Halo, SW: B, P vs Z, Wolfenstein (sh1t) and Minecraft) that 17% of the hard drive has been eaten up. I would like to blame fat fingers and small keyboard...

Star Wars Battlefront looks ****ing outrageous. Will have to get a PS4 or Xbox One at some point.

The game I'm most looking forward to is the next Mass Effect. Hands down the best series I've ever played.

I contemplating selling my PS4 as I rarely play it. in fact not at all the past couple of months

Don't bother with Star Wars Battlefront, wait til it goes down in price or rent it.

I've had it for 5 days and I am bored of it already, graphics and audio are stunning but gameplay is repetitive and boring there's no skill involved as it's designed for casual gamers.

There's no single player campaign...that's still being developed. The single player options are so boring, the online play has no party system - so you can't play in squads with friends, you only play with a random partner. The heros are unbalanced, Boba Fett is too powerful and difficult to kill - if you manage to get him then you can easily kill 20 other players before being killed. Most of the time you just get players waiting at the hero power up pick up locations.

No space battles...considering it's STAR Wars, no strategy, no team work just 20 players on your team doing their own thing.

It's a shell of a game with only 4 maps, further DLCs will have to be paid for and are about 6-12 months away from being available. £44 for half a game, and £39 for season pass which gets you all the updates when they arrive - it's a rip off and EA have screwed this up.

I'm trading mine in but haven't decided what for yet.

Knew it was wise not getting sucked into the hype. Been caught out far far too many times for my own good.

I wondered what the appeal was going to be for this game other than its Star Wars in a time when Star Wars is at the front of everyone's minds.

Think that's answered my question. Unbelievable that they've escaped so much criticism for releasing an unfinished game.

    Oh hang on, it's EA.

    Wise move.

I'm so glad I went for the disc and not digital download so I can trade it in.

The game I'm hoping will restore my faith is The Division, but that's not out til March...it just looks fantastic and you have to use strategy. I pre-ordered it on Amazon because you get a free Beta access code which is due to be available to play in the next few weeks.

If I don't like it, then it's hit the cancel order button.

I'll know only pre-order a game or buy it on release if I KNOW i'll like (therefore pretty much just FM games). Otherwise i'll wait for a price-drop/reviews.

Definitely, the biggest fans of the game are Star Wars fans...I'm one myself, but I'm also a gamer...and this is an insult to gamers. I loved Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 on the PS2, they were great fun to play...this one is just cashing in as you rightly said.

If you go on You Tube, all the latest videos are slating the game and EA and quite rightly so.

I agree, I'll resist the temptation to buy immediately.

However, there are a few reviewers on YT that call it right so I'll watch their reviews before deciding.

They're all predicting Star Wars to go the way Titanfall and Destiny, big impact on release and forgotten about within a couple of months.

This is one of the better reviewers - it's 40 minutes long and just one long rant!!!

He's decent but I find his older reviews better (More focused, less knee jerked) but they're as funny as ever. Also agree with his review score system.

He's just developed his "Angry" schtick more, that's all. It's all feigned; he's ultimately an entertainer. The knee-jerk over-reactions are what pull the viewers in.

I'm enjoying star wars battlefront. Granted I am a casual gamer these days but it's interesting and looks great. You can't really go wrong if you just want to shoot stuff for half an hour.

As a huge Metal Gear fanboy, I think it's a steaming pile of ****.

Mainstream games have been going that way for years now. Once developers would focus on telling a brilliant story because the limitations of the hardware, and great games were made because of it. Sure they were linear and didn't offer much freedom, but they were engrossing, inventive and fun.

Now it seems every game has to be massive, open world, and packed with meaningless side quests, endless menus and upgrading ****.

I always thought Kojima was immune to that, and I was so disappointed to discover he wasn't.

Heard only good things about it however I haven't got a gamer PC so it's not worth buying it..although £11.99 on Steam is a pure steal.

I play it just on a laptop. No need for a gaming PC at all.

I love it, im not amazing just Gold Nova 3 but it's really addictive. Love watching the e-sports too. I know it's kinda nerdy but it's fun to watch.

Was in Sweden a few weeks ago in J*nk*ping and caught some of it live at dreamhack.
