How has VAR not got involved in disallowing the penalty gifted to Juve vs Lyon?!

Memphis' arm was kept down and was within the width of his body. Absolute joke of a decision.

Actually just seen the penalty given to Lyon as well before in the same game which was a completely clean sliding tackle winning the ball. Again, where was VAR?

Fat lot of good it did Sheffield United, they got relegated again soon after! Wonder if there was any link there, or did it just happen?

Handball seems to be given for any touch with the hand in Europe no matter how unfortunate or minor .

So glad to leave VAR behind. Messi scores a peach of a goal and then five minutes of deliberation over whether there was a feather touch on the arm before eventually ruling it out. Handball is a crap rule anyway now but at least this kind of thing wouldn't be enforced without VAR.

Yes like offsides it's getting far too fussy and petty.

Was flicking over between the two, saw Hudson-Odoi curl a beauty past Neuer, only to see it (correctly, for anyone who gives a ****) chalked off for a marginal offside in the build up. Might be getting the worst referees in the world next season, but viva the Championship

VAR took 57 years to come to that conclusion, so they are getting better.

Sounds about right for the modern usage of VAR. That handball incident in the FA Cup final was a perfect example of how slow it is at times. We've had it for a number of seasons and it still continues to slow down games and frustrate the clubs. Even if the final decision is correct, the speed in which it is done needs to vastly improve.
