A potentially new centre back? Iliev on way to Watford By Svilen Rusev - December 08, 2006 Bulgarian international defender Valentin Iliev is on his way to Watford in January. Meredian Match says Iliev, who scored the winning goal for CSKA Sofia against Liverpool at Anfield last year, is available for a knockdown price - £200,000 - because his contract ends in the summer. Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd is keen to strengthen his side and believes Iliev will settle quickly and help the Hornets beat relegation. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=21056
feck knows mate, sounds like a stab in the dark to me. Although if he did score in the Champions League he must have some ability.
invalid link dude!! didnt work told me to tell admin.. so watch what ya doing in the arcade or i might have to insist he put you on the naughty step!! lol
Works fine for me. edit: Ah the first link doesn't work. Thought you were questioning my link integrity there.
Not trying to be funny as I am sure he is a good player but we don't need defenders! That area is fine as proven today.
I agree that Shittu and Jay are solid but we have no depth. Mariappa – too inexperienced Malky – lack of pace, could cope in the Championship because he knew the league well enough, not experienced in the Premiership. Carlisle – Injured, even when back will lack match fitness, though I think he will play a role this season So I think we do need another good central defender
i would rather we spent cash on a few strikers, i feel mariappa would be fine if given the chance. champions league doesn't nesscessary means you are a great player, Piere Issa played for Chelsea and Ramon Vegas scored against England, look how poor they were! the bulgarian, romanian and polish market might be worth looking at a bit more through with them joining the EU
