Best to just link for elsewhere using around the link. www.tinypic.com is usually good for uploading images as it gives you the message board link with the square brackets code around it at the end so you can just copy and paste on to here.
If it's a picture of your own, on your computer then you have to load it onto a photobucket type site. Once it's online (or if the picture is already online) just right click the actual picture, click copy image url,, click the Insert Image button - 3rd from right in the Reply box and paste the url thus:
