It was a poor attempt at humour. Don't take it to heart. Dzyuba purely reminded me of what will we be dealt with if DeeKnee starts next season.

Its just a re-hash of the Leventhal story "According to Adam Leventhal of The Athletic, the Hornets now have Dike on their radar."
I know they lost, but Yaremchuk played a blinder for Ukraine when they eventually got going. Wouldn’t mind us having a look at him.
Dike is clearly a talent, had a good goalscoring record (albeit with a small sample size) and offered a lot in all round play. Very young too. Out of interest, who would you realistically sign to play up front for 10-15m? Every striker in that price bracket is going to be either somewhat uninspiring or somewhat unproven.
Trust me I saw him one game and he looked unplayable, strong, fast, touch, good movement and some very tidy finishes. Next game it was like he wasn't on the pitch. He's young and come a huge amount in such a short time. He did score a very nice goal for the USA against Costa Rica recently.
As I posted elsewhere it's incredibly unlikely we could get him, supposedly he's already in the radar of clubs like Wolves, Arsenal and Lazio.
Agree - but I do think any striker linked with Lazio knows they arent getting much game time unless there is some significant transfer activity.
We need to sign a proven 15 goal a season PL striker who is not over 28, will only cost £18 mill max, is willing to accept the wages we’ll offer with a sizable relegation clause built in. And who wants to sign for us. Must be falling off trees and the club is being totally remiss in not identifying one and signing them immediately.
Which is why, if Danjuma is attainable at £20m, and we have that to spend, then I think he’s perhaps the best option for us.
Jens Cajuste, 21 year-old DM at FC Midtjylland who came on as a sub for Sweden today looks to have something about him. Rumours claim Augsburg, Monchengladbach and Rennes are interested and that Midtjylland would sell for €6mil. He could still be a bit raw to be starting every week, but again if we're looking for midfielders we can develop and potentially make a big profit on in future he seems one to consider.
Reports here in the states seem to have picked up the myth from Leventhal, that we are in for Dike of Orlando City. Interestingly what’s being reported over here is that Orlando City still owe us money from when we sold Aias (remember him, no didn’t think so) to them. It’s not much at all, £300k is being quoted, some articles saying $300k. Anyway Aias contract expires next year and a couple of Spanish clubs are looking at signing him.
I couldn’t help it, I promise but the algorithm popped up that Southampton and Norwich are interested in Armstrong.
Fofana is at Lens. And formally of Udinese. Colour me shocked. (Kamara is not worth what Rangers reportedly want)
Seko Fofana would be a weird one given that Udinese only just sold him last summer. He doesn't seem to have been that great for Lens though. We were first heavily linked to Kamara 2 months ago, there's already a thread on him: http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/glen-kamara.58267/ Kamara seems very similar to Hughes to me, tidy on the ball but a bit too lightweight and lacking end product.
Fofana from what I know of him would be a decent Doucoure type replacement, was very good for Udinese Kamara I know little about, hard to judge true level of ability from the SPL
Definitely odd as you say for us to be interested given that he was sold last year. But maybe Lens are worse for wear financially after the whole TV rights fiasco and Pozzo popped by to try and buy him back for a similar amount to what they paid for him, wiping out the outstanding transfer debt? Haven’t seen too much of him but he comes off well on Fbref. https://fbref.com/en/players/5313ed43/Seko-Fofana
Rangers fans seem pretty confident that Kamara wouldn't come here. Despite the fact that us opening talks almost certainly means that he is interested in the move.
Fair enough he seems to have been quite good creatively. I guess it would depend on how we'd intend to use him - if it was as the 10 then he could still be good, but for one of the other 2 CMs his defensive contribution seems atrocious.
Bump. This was back on 1st May. So it’s been bubbling for a while if true. Or it could just be a rehash of this old story.
Brighton have agreed a £25m fee with Stuttgart for Nicolas Gonzalez. So that’s potentially one less club looking for an attacker….
Stuttgart are selling Nicolas Gonzalez to Brighton for £25mil up-front, plus add-ons. Kalajdzic is also slightly more highly rated. I think this settles that debate in my favour.
Probably. though he is also sometimes used as one of the attacking midfielders. If it is the case though, then out of the possible attackers we could sign who I've been keeping an eye on, the only two who I've seen directly linked with Brighton previously who there could now be a bit less competition for are Jonas Wind and Daryl Dike.
Have we been linked with Wind? He's been bang average on the occasions I've seen him but has popped up scoring while contributing F All.
No we haven't. He's been the most speculative of my suggestions, though it seems very likely Copenhagen would sell him this summer.
