If Ivic wants to bring some players from Israel I wouldn't moan about Eyal Golasa joining Watford I have been watching Tel Aviv games to try and develop an understanding about what we can expect from Vladimir Ivic and I really like the look of Golasa. He is athletic tough tackling breaks up play and can find a pass. Ivic took him from PAOK to Tel Aviv with him so clearly rates him highly.
18yr old Aaron Hickey from Hearts would be a great buy. Available for £1.5m with add ons. Celtic and Bayern both keen but no official bids made yet and we could offer a quicker route to first team football maybe. Natural LB who can play on the other side.

Charlie Goode close to signing for Brentford. Hard not to be very jealous of the way they operate in the market.
They've made some very shrewd deals but haven't achieved their goal of promotion. Next season is going to be massive for them especially if the so called big boys are sold on. No doubt they're a well run outfit, new stadium to look forward too. But as a club like Brentford what are the happy with?
Certainly a danger for them that this season could be a ‘reset’ as Watkins, Benrahma, Rico and maybe more move on to bigger things. However, they have such an impressive track record with bringing in players on the cheap who are easily top-half Championship, or even PL level, that you expect they will keep doing it. It feels almost inevitable that at some point it will click and they will assemble a squad for promotion, as they almost did last season.
I totally agree. But it's a massive ask to replace those three mentioned plus the other forward they had. Those goals and creativity iare not easily found in a short period of time. But overall they were excellent even though they honestly threw promotion away. They had automatic in their grasp.
Meh, from the limited amount I've seen of him I don't think he's all that. He could prove me wrong but he seems too much of a clogger.
as i live close to Northampton i also have seen him a few times ,At 6 '5" i think he would be ideal stopper with a more skillful Wilmot playing along side.( both local and under 25) when was the last time we had a dominating center half at either end of the pitch.? At the moment we have a hire / fire reputation and a lot of high profile players will be reluctant to join us , so we need to cut our cloth accordingly and look at the lower league levels
