Train for Villa + Man utd

Just a tip for anyone planning on getting the train to these two games , get your tickets before new years day before the train prices go up.

 

Thanks although if i do go to manure it will be via car as there aren't any trains back after i don't think.

I cant say but virgin are expensive enough as it is , just if you buy now it's cheeper (what a nice little loop whole)

 

Just had a look at www.thetrainline.com, £26 if you buy two singles, watford jct to manchester piccadiliy, can't beat that for value, no way am i paying for petrol from plymouth.

What time are people planning on heading up?

 

Not going to manchester , although im booked on the 9:35 to birmingham for villa.

 

The prices are set to rise on the 2nd of Jan and i think it's by something stupid like 11% although i'm not 100% sure.

Crazy really seeing as the government are actively encouraging people not to drive and to use public transport yet with these fare hikes they are merely driving (pun intended) onto the roads.
