Looks like Spurs are going 3-5-2. Going to be difficult for Deeney to have his way against Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Sanchez all by himself. Rose and Aurier will push up and stay wide to try and get it on Llorente’s head. Still think we can win this though. Just need to get an early goal so they lose their confidence and the fans get on their backs.
Spurs have gone with a back three of Vertonghen, Sanchez and Alderweireld - if anyone's going to be getting bullied it's Deeney.
I guess Femenia is injured? Still, I'm pleased to see Janmaat starting again. For all their supposed injury concerns Spurs have put out a very good side, I'm not hopeful.
Doucoure’s questionably timed injury rolls on then... I’d have had Britos or even Wilmot in over Mariappa. Gray and Chalobah fail to make the bench but I guess you can’t pick everyone. Shameful that Gracia has picked 3 reserves from Saturday and out another 6 on the bench. What a disgrace.
I seem to recall Deeney putting Sanchez on his arse in a shoulder to shoulder. Sanchez just bounced off.
And 2:30 in on this game and Sanchez just landed Deeney on his. We've started alright though in general at least.

Didn't deserve anything from the game in my opinion. I'm a big fan of Gracia but poor substitutions and tactics cost us tonight. Didn't even try to compete second half. Foster, Janmaat, Mariappa, Cathcart, Holebas and Capoue all performed well. Pereyra and Hughes were abysmal. The rest average. Success is never going to make it as a PL striker.

Didn't get the Clevs for Wilmot sub, if it was like for like it weakened us; if it was to go 352 then Pereyra should have gone off. Didn't look 352... Didn't get the Success for Delia sub, Delia was our best threat on the counter. It's the end of January and Mapps still a first choice CB; that's the real problem right there. No intent to fix a very obvious weakness in the squad. Can't knock any of the players, they tried. Gracia cocked up with his subs but he's earned some slack. We move on.

Was worried we couldn't get out at all though. Wrong subs I thought, Deu posed a threat Pereyra didn't yet he kept Pereyra on. Hughes utterly useless again yet he took Cleverley off. Best team won. Poor second half. Poor defending for both goals. Success needs a break from the team - never adds anything. Rather have Gray/Peneranda to bring on.
Never mind. Always going to be difficult to beat Spurs even without Kane etc. I was confident of a win. Thought we might hold on but as soon as they scored you could sense they would get another. Still in a great position, got a great chance on Saturday against Brighton. I’m confident we will bounce back.
