Don't put them up in the first place and you won't have the problem.

Trying to get tax i'm owed back. Amazing how easily they take it off you, but how hard it is to get back!

This is tax return season, they're more concerned with getting the tax owed from people. You won't see any money back until April.

Taxation. Not being taxed, the actual rules. For some reason I decided to do the module taxation for non specialists because I thought it'd be the most useful from the options. I've never done accounting, i'm ****e at maths. Why does there have to be so many stupid rules? Went over the rules for company cars today, it's ridiculous. :doom:

The new legislations on pensions. Tell you what we will tax you to the hilt whilst you work and then knick as much as we can so you can't even enjoy your retirement

Also the older generation (even older than me) who say we've never had it so good. Yes we can now travel anywhere on the globe balanced by kids being in debt from university fees for half their lives, not having jobs for life, not being able to afford to buy a property and not being able to retire on a comfortable pension

My grandad always does this... Whilst he sits in his 4 bed house, on a state pension that was more than I was earning in my placement year!

They charge interest for late payment but don't pay it when it's owed to you

I got interest paid by them when I got a rebate years ago. Have they stopped that now?

So I rang the tax office again. I worked last year Sept - Sept, so paid about £400 too much tax. But I continued working casually for the same people (only made about £80) and I receive a pension payment whilst i'm still in education (which I am and have been since sept after returning from placement).

The tax office said they can't pay me because I still have an income, so I got a P45 from my employer but I still have the pension scheme and he said thats an issue. Therefore they've changed my tax code and next time the pension scheme pay me i'll get all the money i'm owed back from them... But the pension people aren't the people who taxed me too much, so i'm a bit confused as to how that works. I have a feeling I won't get my money again, or will I?

Your overpayments will be refunded to you by way of reduced taxation on other income. It sounds like it's too difficult for them to work out how much to pay you as a lump sum because your income is variable. It took them 3 years to sort out my rebates once my income had stabilised. Frustrating but it'll all even out in the end.

Don't forget, anyone worth their salt that knows tax works for a company avoiding it rather then for the tax office collecting it. The rewards are higher so they get the best people. I wouldn't trust most tax officers to score my darts game tonight.

Even if my pension payment is only about £30 a month? Think i'm taxed about £2 on that atm so that won't be of much use if that's the case haha.

Bit annoying as I have no money atm and was hoping this would pay for my ST next season!

Did you do a tax return? Can you still do them? Might be an option.

How the hell can you be in education and receive a pension payment. Have they held you back for 60 years? mind you I did have my suspicions.

Was my Dad's pension that he paid into before he sadly passed. I had no idea about it, got a call one day and was told I was owed money so I didn't complain!

    Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West - Emperor's New Clothes. My 9 year old writes more intelligent lyrics than him. True, his total lack of any self awareness or humility does have comedy value but even that is fading now.

Kim Kardashian - I don't watch her reality show so forgive me if I have got this wrong but, as I understand it, she is someone who is famous for making a sex tape, being married to Kanye West and for having a rather oversized posterior, the naked image of which she likes to share on Twitter at any opportunity.

    Just. Go. Away.

Something similar, but slightly more trivial irritates me. When I indicate to turn right, I often have to wait for oncoming traffic to pass before I can make the turn. What really winds me up is when the last car, normally out of about twenty, stops and flashes to let me turn right. I feel bad for getting annoyed by it, because they obviously had good intentions, but it's completely pointless and really winds me up.

You know I was genuinely actually gonna add this to the list but I thought 2 was enough. I can only see 2 reasons for this persons actions. 1. They are doing it for the feelgood factor or karma, so is purely selfish. They'll go home at night with a warm and fuzzy feeling. 2. They are doing it because they have no awareness of what is actually going on around them, they do not look in their rear view mirror and assess the full situation.

When I'm thinking of letting someone go, I always check out everything going on around me - who is coming the other way, who is behind me, space available etc. If I see nothing behind me, I'll just carry on and they will go after me - if there are 6+ cars behind me, I'll probably slow down a bit, in plenty of time controlling the traffic behind me so that none of us have to actually stop, just rolling so we can all stay in 2nd/3rd gear.

Like you, it's hard to complain about them as they are doing something nice for you, but seriously, just keep going and I'll go after you!

I'm all in agreement with you, but when no-one lets these buggers in they stop until someone does, and anyone going towards B&Q or the retail estate have to queue up behind them until someone from the left eventually lets them in.

This queue jumping happens every day on the M25 junction 20 roundabout. Most people going to Kings Langley or northbound on the M25 will queue up in the right hand lane. Some tw@ will come up the middle lane and indicate right by the turning jumping past all the other traffic. I'm the same as you, in that I'll just squeeze up the the car in front and not let them in, but ultimately the car behind will let them in and the smug little fecker will goon their way feeling like they are "winning" at life. NO, YOU'RE JUST A ****!
