Just so everyone knows we are going to lose this game . It is written. we are a fallen prem club with owners who don’t appear to care and if they do it is too late the unmentionable scum up the road are on a winning streak this game goes one way only.
Well we might play a proper team which could help.. I mean Dawson and Murray probably we in to lead the team and set an example.. They were probably the 2 worse players!
I think IF we lose this one, playing the same weak squad we've used all season, then it will be a watershed moment. It will be the day when many Watford fans turn on the owner. Of course it's far more effective at the stadium, with boos and chants, so the only alternative will be Twitter or this forum......but I think it will be very obvious indeed. I'm not sure if he will be expecting it, but from what I can see, the Pozzo's have done wonderful things, but they now seen to have lost it. We should be in much better shape than we are right now. It was complacency that relegated us, and it looks like they are vastly overestimating the depth of the squad yet again. Has the penny really dropped with them? I hope they get it right and have to be given the entire window in order to build a squad capable of winning promotion. So far we're miles short, but could be rectified at a stroke if senior players are allowed to come back in. Early signs do not look good though. Murray has lost it, and that's down the owners. They should have scouted him and realised his current ability. He looks done to me. Sierralta they knew all about, but he already looks like being the player you don't want to see in the matchday squad. Stevenson...seriously.....that's just a ridiculous signing even for the U23's.
The only way we won't lose is if we temporarily discard whatever the truth behind this 'we only want to play players who want to be here' ******** is, get a hold of the rats' tails as they disappear over the side and field the majority of them one last time on Saturday at 12.30. Luton are a cohesive team coming off two consecutive seasons of what constitutes 'success' to them, and yet also manage to be the plucky underdogs in the tie, whilst we are barely a team at all. If we send out Chalobah and Quina in the middle to fail to provide any service to the ghost of Glenn Murray again, we are going to get butt****ed. I sincerely hope Pozzo and co are aware of this already and working on mitigation.
As I said on the shoutbox, does Gino really care about this game? Does Duxbury? Doubtful they understand its meaning. Doubtful any of the players will care.
If we lose, we attach another bed sheet to the ground outside Vicarage Road with a message to the owners. A few extra choice words might be thrown in if Murray and the other senior players half arse it . Win, and we can all enjoy being top of the league for half an hour.
Ditto. In fairness I would feel the same if we had Liverpool’s squad and they had Barnets. I just don’t enjoy playing them and always the worst.
I think we'll win. Based on 100% wishful thinking. And a sneaky feeling that may well turn out to be indigestion.
These are people who have been in football many years, and are apparently football fans themselves. They've owned Udinese for a long time, they've seen Italian Derby's which get messy. I would hope they know the importance of this game. If they oversee a loss, and it's a completely weak, **** team due to wanting to sell players, then all respect and goodwill from me will be gone. It's indefensible.
Did they field a strong team against Man U tonight? I don’t have a clue who their better players are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quote from a Luton fan on a general forum: "Very much a back up team with 9 changes from Saturday. Most are our sort of first reserve type players. Of the team I’d expect Bradley, Norrington-Davies and maybe Clark to be heavily involved on Saturday"
Could you arrange for it to fly over Chorleywood? I plan to avoid the game by spending Saturday afternoon in the garden (weather permitting) but would love to see it
Chip in 100 quid and you've got 10 minutes for them to fly over your garden and back to Vicarage Road.
I've bet against Watford many times over the years without a care but against this lot I simply can't.
Yes seems so. Sad isn't it - no fans but they are still worried about thugs turning up to cause trouble.
They are ridiculously excited about playing us despite not being being able to go to the game. They look at it to show how far they've come from the non league days. Unfortunately they also have a minority of idiots who seem to enjoy battering the sh1t out of each other and who don't care about the game. The fact they can't get in the ground won't make a blind bit of difference. In fairness we also have people like this so I'm sure there will be problems but certainly not like that league cup game years ago. I'm as nervous as hell for this as I can remember how hard it is to take when losing to them. I will be properly miserable if we lose this. Do not let me down Watford
You wait till they take on the shoppers of Watford. They won't know whats hit em on the Saturday rush.
I've been told a group of highly skilled restoration experts are on their way up the M1 to upgrade The Kennel to 'hovel' status.
The image of Luton thugs turning up and assaulting innocent people while strictly adhering to COVID guidelines is somewhat surreal.
