Sorry to link to this utter rag but just breaking on Twitter...normally wouldn't comment on other peoples home lives or relationships but this just plays more into the hands of people who know Troy to be a bit of a d*ck. He's got some bottle saying he see's whats written about him online and he wants to ram it back down their throats...is there any wonder people write such things about his behaviour off the pitch? True we don't know he whole story but to treat the wife who stood by him and mother of his kids this way? Disgrace.

CHEATING football star Troy Deeney has been exposed as a love rat by his furious wife after he dumped her for a model.

Stacey Deeney, 29, took to social media to denounce the Watford striker over an affair with Alisha Hosannah, 26.

Confirming fans’ suspicions that the Hornets’ hero was playing away, she revealed they had split up.

In a late-night post, Stacey told her 1,038 Instagram followers: “Thank you for everyone’s concerns but as @t_deeney has disrespectfully publicly made aware we are no longer together.

“To all the fake accounts out there that feel the need to give me the info on Troy’s cheating please can you now forward them onto @alishahosannah thanks.”

Alisha has since posted photos of her with the Premier League ace.

With one Instagram photo of Deeney she simply wrote: “Mine.”

Fans had previously spotted gushing compliments exchanged by Deeney and Alisha on Instagram.

In August, she posted snaps of herself on holiday in Spain, with Deeney adding flame emojis.

In one post he called her a “Queen”. Alisha replied: “Miss you.”

When she posted a photo of herself in a low-cut dress, Deeney responded: “Flawless.”

And when she posted a snap of Deeney, she included smiley face emojis with hearts as eyes, writing “When he’s more than your man crush but it’s still Monday.”

The messages were visible to all Alisha’s 450 followers and soon some were directly alerting Deeney’s wife.

A source, who knows Troy and Stacey said: “He isn’t being secretive about this. Stacey’s very angry.”

This week ex-bricklayer Deeney has not been seen at his family home in Solihull, West Mids, where Stacey lives with their two children.

The pair began dating when Dee-ney was 15.

    They married in 2014.

Loyal Stacey stuck by him in 2012 when he spent three months in jail for affray after kicking a student in the head during a street brawl.

Deeney revealed Stacey told him before he was sentenced: “If you get sent down I’ll stick with you, and if you don’t I’m leaving you.”

Commenting on someone's private life and branding them a disgrace despite having literally no idea of what their current circumstances are or what has gone on. What could possibly go wrong?

I take your point and perhaps its not written as sympathetically as intended in my head - but its in the media so it's hardly libellous. And if the story is as quoted, his wife has publicly quoted on her social media referencing him cheating. So I have given my opinion on that. I think if a man has cheated on his wife, whom he has kids with and who stood by him when he was sent to prison, then its disgraceful.

Many people gave their opinions on Isaac Success private life didn't they?

If mods think that's too harsh an opinion or close to being a dangerous thread, I have no problem with them deleting it.

Success broke the law and was arrested. Deeney has at worst committed adultery, which is not illegal in this country. Why anyone would even be slightly interested in this story, let alone as outraged as you appear to be, is a complete mystery to me.

I doubt that you can expect a 'late night social media post' from the wife of a man who has just left her and started a new relationship to act as a fair and balanced account of whatever's gone on either.

It’s a story that is on the front page of a newspaper about our captain. It’s not going to go unnoticed even if you think it should.

I am not outraged in the slightest. But the story is in the public domain and I’m commenting on the detail given in the story. If the details given are true, then I think the behaviour is terrible. No more, no less.

I’m really not sure I get the issue with highlighting something regarding our captain that is splashed across the front page tomorrow morning?!

If people don’t agree or feel the thread should be taken down, I have no issue with that. I thought it may be of interest but if I have misjudged that then I apologise.

Was merely giving my opinion on the story that is linked to our club. No malice intended.

On reflection, maybe a bad idea to post the thread and I should have kept my opinion on it to myself. I apologise.

Can the first Mod with such powers please delete thread?

It's all a little disappointing, to be fair. Hardly exemplary conduct from a man who very publicly wants to be seen as a leader and role model. Sigh.

It's certainly worth posting but not worth being outraged about.

If leaving his wife for some younger strumpet has inspired him to shed some pounds, and walking out on his kids means he gets a more restful night's sleep then I'm all for it.

His private life means precisely **** all. His performances for WFC are all that matters.

Think the thread should stay. As you say, it’s a front page story about our captain.

There’s obviously plenty of stuff that none of us know about, but on the face of it, not a great look imo.

Yes. it would be much better for his wife and kids for him to stay in a loveless marriage.

    Seroiously who gives a ****.

I haven't bothered even looking at the article.

The Sun is written for people with a reading age of 7, the same people who voted for Brexit en masse.

It is also part of a newspaper group that hacked a murdered 13 year old girl's phone and listened to voicemails from her distraught parents, who thought she was still alive because of their actions. Oh yeah and Hillsborough.

Anyone who reads (sic) the Sun can do one or better still commit suicide, you'd be doing society a favour.

I have to agree with @Burnsy here. It’s a little above the board even for the most outlandish poster on this forum.

No doubt there was no malice intended but please refrain from such statements or at best edit the post and remove it.

On the article yes it’s a usual media stir trouble story. If it’s true then as RC said, it has nothing to do with his football. If it does begin to impact his game, or several fans begin to get on his back with chants etc, then it could be a concern.

But I would like to think this family club has mostly mature fans who will back him to be successful on the pitch and not really want to know what happens off it.

Either way, I doubt it will impact at all on Troy’s performances for us. Sad to say but worse has happened in his life and he’s come through it - and let’s be honest, if it did play out as the media are claiming, he will have known and has likely been preparing for when this story was going to come out and be spun at some stage.

What’s annoying is it’s another negative story that has Watford FC attached to it and on the wrong end of the newspaper. At a time when the club was starting to turn a corner in the media, we could do without it.

Anybody heralding a philanderous, violent thug as a "role model" is missing the point. Troy is a flawed human being. No kid should be looking up to him when he's shown himself to be a very repellent individual many times. He's good at football and frankly that's all I give a toss about. Who he happens to be currently inflicting his little maggot peen upon is none of my business.

Who gives a ****? That would be loads of people, wouldn't it. If you haven't read the article, why bother coming on here to parade that about like it's some kind of trophy? If you don't care as much as you claim, why are you driven to comment on it, and on my reaction to it? What does the fact that it's in the Sun have to do with anything anyway? The story is what I'm commenting on, not the paper it's in.

About as classy as Troy’s inability to restrain himself from advertising it on social media. Very ‘old school’.

Troy is my hero and I’ve modelled myself on him. Sure he’s younger, slimmer, better looking and has more money than me but I’ve got to do it. I’ve told the misses not to expect me home tonight as I’m going out to snare myself a pretty young model and I may not be back - overall didn’t seem that fussed.

Cringe worthy. Social media will one day be looked back upon & laughed at.

Essentially like Eastenders but played out in real time.

She snagged Troy to enhance her own brand & he's fallen for it. Will go running back to the wife & kids within 6 months & he will put that stone back on by the January transfer window.

Yeah, this appears to have been going on since the summer, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's the main reason behind him getting in better shape again and regaining a lot of his mojo on the pitch as well, in which case, as a Watford fan, the change has actually been good news for us.

It likely has already influenced his performances, for the better.
