Zaha will still be moaning at his captain, his team mates or the ref when he is 47.
    Moaning all the time.
Grow up man, you're not a child.
Richarlison misses numerous chances and Palace do their usual stealth point.

TAA showing tonight against a top class side why Southgate didn’t pick him.

Dawson joining West Ham permanently at the end of the season, due to a clause in the loan deal after playing 15 games. Anyone know about a fee?

Was reported as a fee of about 3 million when he went on loan?

    Interesting tennis fact.
TAA are the initials of Hertfordshire tennis president Trevor Adamson.
    Not many people know that.
He probably won't make the squad either!

I hope that clause included the absolute requirement that he has to be picked when the Hammers play us (we hope next season). By the end of this season, Dawson should have moved into a negative goal difference for his beloved Irons. Currently standing at +2 but he should be able to stick a few more past Fabianski in the next few games judging by his current efforts.

Love the fact that the Hammers fans have been praising Moyes' impending steal of Dawson for £2m in recent months and suggesting he was an outside bet for England at the Euro Championships. And just as the clause kicks in for the permanent move to happen, the scales fall from their eyes as the one-paced defender struggles like we all know he can and they are pleading for him to be dropped. The timing is priceless, well nearly, in fact £2m plus £1m loan fee.

I worry with VAR if we go up Sarr will get called offside all the as he is so quick.

Isn’t that more of a worry without VAR?

Maybe but we have had two very marginal offside calls this weekend in the Premier league which goals harshly ruled out but I guess it's 50/50 either way.

Newcastle winning at Burnley. If it stays like that the gap to Flam will be 6pts and a game in hand. Doesn't look like this year's relegation battle will be quite as tight as last season.

Basically Newcastle are ASM and probably Wilson as he can get goals.

Bit like Palace they are generally pretty average for 90% of the season but do enough to win the odd game.

And not getting that penalty has spurred them on - funny what such things can do to teams.

Harsh to disallow the Man U goal.
Oddly enough Son went down like he was Gloucester in Lear.

Were Kane and co putting pressure on the ref as players seem to do when they are looking at the screen?

VAR is almost another excuse for players to
go and cheat as they know quite often even if the on pitch ref doesn’t give a decision the VAR guy might think otherwise.

    They always do.
Kane is one of the worst culprits and has been for years.
Was it Kabasele that was sent off as Kane ran about fifty yards to moan at the ref?

Looks like Man U are going to win.

Surprised they didn’t get a contentious penalty or something to even things up .

At the risk of repeating myself, what a player Cavani is.
    Superb movement and application.
Now looking like D'Artagnan, he is a real swashbuckling player.
Very much in the Man Utd mode of old.

I really don't want to watch Watford in the Premier League - it is dreadful to watch. Boring games punctuated by cheating and woefully inept refereeing decisions that they still get wrong even with VAR on hand.

It is a league built all on hype, but currently it is a dreadful 'product'.

Something really weird has happened to me recently in that I’ve far more enjoyed championship games, and not just our games. Admittedly it’s mostly been games our promotion rivals are in, but as I’ve got to know the players from various teams and understand how they play etc I’ve started to watch more games. Initially I was watching loads of premier league games, but getting next to no enjoyment out of them, this weekend I haven’t watched one second of them. I’m absolutely sick of them now and take no enjoyment from them.

As long as we’re not in them I’m actually more looking forward to watching the playoffs more than any premier league game.

I've been that way for a while now. People are beginning to tune in that despite the hype the games in the PL just aren't very good, yet there is a lot more cheating going on in the games. That stuff with Son today was farcical and embarrassing.

The Championship is a much more entertaining league than the PL and has been for years. They've self titled themselves as the best league in the world but that simply isn't true - it's just the richest league in the world.

The best way I can describe it now is like a TV series you’ve got bored of. It’s pretty much the same characters every season with the odd new one. They all play their same boring role, Palace are always the same, Burnley are always the same, Spurs, Arsenal etc. This season they’ve added Leeds playing attacking football as a new character, but overall it’s like a TV show that has run too many series now.

Leeds is a great example. A new team has come in the league and play attacking football - a standard thing to happen in most leagues but headline worthy in the Premier League. The Championship is about winning, the Premier League is about protecting the big 6 and the other 14 desperately trying to not lose.

I think someone else said the same somewhere on here, but if you could take the money and stay down I think I definitely would!

Almost the Norwich model - maybe WBA as well - if you haven’t got a billionaire owner you don’t overspend and risk being a Bolton. Try to have a winning year every few years going up and don’t fret when you go down.

100%. People get excited about the TV money, but the TV money doesn't pay my mortgage so makes little difference to me personally. It seems more obvious to me than ever than when a club goes up they have to spend all the extra TV money, and then some, just to stay there. If clubs get relegated and don't bounce back it ends up in financial hardship as we will find out if we don't go up.

The Norwich model gets a lot of flak but they are spot on. Financially sound, take the money and run. If it means relegation then so be it - the cost of that is another season in the best league in the world trying to win it.

Precisely, the money is a myth. You can only benefit from the money if you don’t spend it and if you don’t spend it you go down. Otherwise every other club has it and more, so you have to spend every penny of it to try and tread water against the likes of Palace etc. There is also the issue that you obviously don’t get the money until the end of the season, so if you haven’t got a billionaire owner, if you want to make a fist of staying up you have to borrow against the money you’ll get a year down the line. If you then get relegated, sure you’ll have parachute payments, but you’ll also be saddled with debt and have players on stupid contracts that would only sign if you gave them 4 year deals and no relegation clauses.

As we have seen you can earn millions over the years in the PL but most of it disappears and ends up in the wrong hands leaving clubs mired in debt.
