Another crazy VAR decision in the Everton v Liverpool match. Offside.....no way.

Nothing wrong with VAR, but as always, it just shows up how bad the officials really are.

We keep VAR, but get rid off referees.

I would have been glad of VAR against Derby last night, as I reckon we would have had two penalties if it had been in use

 

Nah! Under the old interpretation, which we all agree was daft, possibly yes, but under the new one not in a million years

I think Clev's one was pretty safe, Chalobah's shot should have been a penalty, but I wouldn't classify it as a howler, they're the kinds of ones you don't always expect when there's no VAR

 

Mitrovic with probably the worst PL striker performance I've seen since... ooh, whenever Deeney last played for us there.

 

Yeah, VAR had to tell the ref to check the screen for that one.

Having VAR spotting every possible foul which could be given as a penalty, but on the other hand ignoring the few given decisions which are highly debatable, is just leading to far too many pens.

Newcastle's West End is really ******* grim (and one the local team formed Utd). The local MP used to complain to everyone who would listen about seeing the local population (one of the most deprived areas in the country) wearing footy shirts sponsored by wonga...

 

It's an odd feeling seeing teams we went toe to toe with in the last few seasons doing so well, but no chance we'd have done any better than mid table mediocrity

 

BREAKING NEWS:-

Liverpool and Man United are in talks with other top clubs over a new FIFA-backed European Premier League.

Could start as early as 2022. The league will contain 18 invited teams, and will replace the Champions League.

This story is huge. Can't see the money from the Premier League remaining as it is now.

Only up to five Premier League clubs can join, so I wonder who will miss out from the "top six". Probably Spurs, but who knows.

This is not a domestic breakaway as yet......but it probably will be in the fulness of time.

UEFA are fully against it though, as you may well expect.

 

Hope this happens. They can **** off and take their plastic "fans" with them. Without any relegation I reckon it will die anyway. I find the Champions League dull as it is. A proper "league" will be even worse.

English football will be more competitive and interesting without them imho.

Arthur's Hill and Benwell are holes compared to Jesmond and Heaton, which is amazing given how close they are.
