Looks like Norwich and Bournemouth are doomed. Win today and a little bit of breathing room. Need to be on it from the get go. Norwich have some super young players. I wouldn't mind taking Buendia and Lewis and if possible Arons. Huge potential. Doubt we could get them. Maybe offer Gray in exchange.

Godfrey looks like an upgrade on our CBs too.

He had a good reputation but whenever I've seem him he's been terrible.

The two full-backs are decent going forwards, but really I wouldn't touch any of Norwich's defenders with a bargepole; they concede goals for fun.

Buendia plays the same position as Sarr and would cost a fair bit, so there's no point at all.

Let's stay up before we start poaching other teams players. We are only one point clear currently

I can’t agree with you about Bournemouth, after all they’re only 1 point from safety.
My rule of thumb is that the maximum any team can make up on others over a moderate run of games is 1 point per game, at either end of the table, with a surge of form. So on that basis Norwich are nearly gone (although people have said that in the past about the likes of Portsmouth and Leicester), but lots can happen yet to everyone else, including Brighton.
It’s true Bournemouth look in poor form and lacking in confidence but injuries, suspensions and even refereeing/VAR outrages can still change things. West Ham also have yet to show anything since the restart And have the same number of points - would you say they are doomed as well?

He can and has played centrally in midfield or behind a striker. It is where he prefers to play. If needed he can play out wide. He is versatile, hard working and skilled. Pearson would love him.

No doubt Deeney is getting a lot of baiting on Twitter now !

Congratulations to Liverpool. Was a contrasting night for football emotions in our house last night, with a Watford fan and a Liverpool fan under the same roof!

BMuff are a point behind us and their form over the last 8 games is now better than ours (W2 D1 L5 vs W1 D2 L5). If they are doomed, so are we.

I had not factored in the limp wristed factor TUT. I honestly thought we would put in performances this week to take six points and get one hand over the ledge. After last evening it doesn't look very positive at all.

Is it me or has Liverpool’s title win been met with a collective shrug? It was so predictable and compounded with winning it without even playing it just feels like people aren’t interested.

Traore comes on and Wolves score about two minutes later. Villa look woeful again.

Adama Traore is unstoppable. Put the fear into Villa immediately. I'm insanely jealous, I'd love to have a player like that.

Well thanks very much Wolves. The only saving grace is that Bournemouth and Villa have very tough run ins. Our numskulls need to get a result tomorrow.

Nah. They'll look at the Villa result and think "no pressure this game..." like they did at Burnley. If we get nothing Sunday afternoon and Spam and Muff do, reality might just sink in.

Another result goes our way, but we really must start making things go our way ourselves as our luck relying on others won't last.

I know this game is the cup but they have just said 24 games - 15 0-0 at HT.

    Sums it all up!

It's been almost crap across the board.

I feel compelled to watch the games, but I can't really think of a single one I've enjoyed. Maybe Chelsea v City.

More importantly, a desperately disappointing man bun/Alice band combo from Cantwell.

Genuinely don't know who's better out of Sarr or Traore, luckily for Wolves, they have players who make runs into the box, and opponents can't afford to just team up on Traore...

Us vs Leicester was OK I guess? Chelsea have been good value, two 2-1 wins, positively riveting stuff!

Well Dean Smith wasn't happy Villa had 4 game in 11 days - 3 of which were at home.
