Disappointing that they've squashed 4 games in to the same slot this evening - which one will people be watching (if any)?

None, because 95% of the games have been pure cat so far. I do however have goal alerts set for the B'mouth, Norwich and Villa games.

The Norwich game is on BBC and the Man Utd one on Pick, so unless you have a Sky subscription, they're your options.

We can all be Wolves and Newcastle plastics for the night.

Man Utd are my main team, so I’ll be watching that one.

I’ll keep an eye on the Bournemouth and Villa games though.

Got a feeling one of the teams around us will get a sneaky win. My moneys on Villa 1-0 - Grealish throws the ball in the net but VAR fails to spot it.

  7. This evening I shall mostly be cheering for wolves

I see Bournemouth have picked up two bookings in 37 mins including Steve Cook, obviously playing their usual game,

Wilson booked as well and two game ban now for him.

    Dirty c**ts, they really are.

Good to see Sheffield Utd eventually reverting to type. Wasn’t one of their fans in here once trying to suggest that they’ll be the exception to the rule and keep their form up indefinitely? I think we politely explained we’d had that same innocent enthusiasm at times when we first got promoted, but it never lasts.

    It's just too hot. 3 nil-nils ? 3 points for our relegation rivals ?

Not sure Welbeck will handle a muggy evening kick off. Better get those drinks in.

Norwich have been dreadful since Everton scored

They are gone - we have to beat them.

Trouble is they also have West Ham.

7 points clear of Norwich (L)
1 point clear of Aston Villa (D)
1 point clear of Bournemouth (L)
1 point clear of West Ham (L)

    5 points behind Brighton (D)

All with a game in hand.

Tomorrow's match could give us a little bit of breathing space.

    Norwich have Arsenal up next
    Villa have Wolves, Liverpool, United
Bournemouth have Newcastle (and then United, Spurs, Leicester, City)
    West Ham have Chelsea

Bournemouth are running out of games that look winnable on paper, I can't see them getting to 35 points.

Can’t complain at that really, for Newcastle to have won again would’ve been fairly improbable.

Loses for Norwich and Bournemouth and a point for Villa. Still 16th, but now with a game in hand. We've got ourselves into a promising position. The players are confident about tomorrow. Let's hope they see the job through.

Glad muff lost. At least Villa didn't win, but we now have our job tomorrow night.

I'd be a little surprised if Villa/Bournemouth get much more than 33 points

Massive results, I don't think a point was enough for Villa. Mind you, would be very Watford to blow our advantage now.

The slow amble of the pace in games should in theory give any side who wants to take the bull by the b*llocks a decent chance. Nobody seems to want it yet.

Well that was nearly a perfect evening for us, but then those Villa Barstewards went and got a point

At least we will stay 16th and a point clear even if the worst was to happen tomorrow night, plus Norwich are looking like they are almost gone, so probably there are now just the four of us battling it out to stay clear of the remaining two relegation spots.

Therefore it's over to us to get a win at Burnley tomorrow night, and if we manage to do so we will open up a decent breathing space over the other three.

    COME ON U 'ORNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSS

Massively important that we don’t **** the bed tomorrow night and come away with nothing.

Four points from the next two games (against clubs with nothing to play for) and we’ll likely have given ourselves a bit of breathing space, with pivotal games against West Ham and Norwich to come.

It’s well in our hands at this point. I hope we’ve got enough character to complete the job.

4pts ahead with a better goal difference AND it needing 2 teams to make up that gap just to put us back in the relegation zone (rather than the normal 1) would be a very strong position to be in with 7 games to go. Especially with West Ham v Villa on the last day of the season as well.

We need to go all out for a win tomorrow.
