Must admit that I got spat in the face from the opposition coming on as sub. Sent off before I'd even kicked the ball. Spitting triggers me more than anything. Its really amazing to me how others don't react I the same way.

 

Deeney said in his post-match interview on Sky that he'd thought Bournemouth had beaten Chelsea, and was surprised when the presenter corrected him and said it was a draw.

 

Hopefully City give Villa a taste of what we had in the cup fins last year, and absolutely destroy their confidence from here.

Watching it is giving me flashbacks. I’ve started making a flag waving motion as a reflex.

Shows how unlucky we were to get such a pasting. MC had 23 shots to our 11 last May and we lost 0-6.
Currently they've had 20 shots to AV's 4 and yet plucky, brave AV are hanging on in there and making their fans proud.
All down to luck.

 

They created the same number of chances that they created against us though and AV created less than half the chances we did. The difference is that they scored against us and missed against Villa.

 

And defending.

 

Not really. Better defending would have stopped them having 22 shots.

 

Yet another horrific error from Pickford today. Goodness he is useless. Quite how he remain's Southgate's pick for England is beyond me.

 

In my view he is impulsive and this is just as likely to get him into trouble as out of it. You would expect this trait to lessen as he gets older and more experienced but it hasn’t yet.

 

Stats don't tell the whole story but it's odd and annoying that Man Utd were more considerably dominant in shots and corners against Burnley than against us, yet ended up losing 2-0, and we lost 3-0. And you can't tell me it's because Burnley have a much better defence than us as they'd still conceded more goals than us after that game and our defeat at Villa, and are still not far ahead.

I think Burnley benefited a fair bit from Utd not having yet signed Fernandes as they often looked toothless before they got him.

 

Fernandes was the difference in ours and every other game since. Man of the match every game including Everton where the panel were absolutely raving about him.

He's turned a very average man utd side into something actually half decent.

Bloody typical, and they will probably rest others for their Champions League match too

 

Not too worried as Adrian has been a more than capable replacement.
