I’m not sure winning the chance to be bummed by Man City in a cup final is something we’d envy.

 

Trying to work out if that's good or bad. Extra time would've been nice at least. Mings had a bit of a hamstring tweak but seemed to play through it.

Can only hope it's a distraction and the get mauled more than we did by city at Wembley.

I’m quite adept of switching off the part of my brain that gets annoyed when Leicester lose. Three hours of dominating a ****, thoroughly unpleasant side and still losing.... well you’ve just got to write it off as something that wasn’t meant to be. Knowing that’ll it will likely have been a painful and public act of buggery in the final at the hands of the biggest turd of a club in the universe is some consolation.

Unlikely to happen as IIRC Liverpool haven't really thrashed anyone this season, but given what happened on the opening day against Man City, you never know. I have a sneaky feeling West Ham might get something though, but no more than a draw.

 

You say that in a joking fashion, but it's well within the realms of possibility that an upcoming Cup final vs Man City will derail the rest of their season, cementing their relegation.

The Premier League have just announced that the transfer window will revert to the old deadline and will be in line with the rest of Europe. Next season's deadline will be 1st September.

I do not think this is the right way to go. It should either be how it was this season or back to the way it was before windows.

I know this may be better for us due to the sources of most of our players, but don't like it.

Disappointing. As a fan I like to know that the players we have for the first game of the season are still at the club four games later.

When will the Championship deadline be?

 

There must be a whole generation of young football fans who have no memory of a time before the transfer windows. That and it being a FIFA rule means I can't see it ever reverting back.

 

Doesn't impact us due to the Pozzo loan loophole.
