...except that no one did, because states don't have an ethnicity and that was the only thing mentioned.

    Pure deflection.

Newcastle next to get a middle eastern makeover? Fresh from glorying over the demise of Sunderland yesterday, the bonny lads are now getting rather excited and carried away with the news Ashley might sell.

Perfect club for that model of ownership. A massive fanbase starved of success, desperate for the status that they think they deserve. They’ll lap it up without even questioning it, just like the Manchester City fans. Before they know it they’ll be supporting a glorified version of MK Dons.

Gun to my temple, I’d guess the West Country.

Leeds being bought by Qatar, it seems.

    Popular combination.

It has been over a week since the final. On reflection, the result does not matter in the grand scheme of life.
There will be no fall out, other teams will not give a toss that we lost 6-0. They are just glad it was not them in the final against City. Only the small minded fan, from a small club, will take a pop at Watford over the result.
Yes, it was embarrassing for us and certain players should be given their P45's. It was a totally woeful display and without doubt the players deserve to be criticised.
We have a Championship/League One defence at best. This has to change this summer.
I look at the final as a joke, not worth wasting any sleep over it.

Arse just got a mauling. OK, they got one back, but they were supposed to be fairly evenly matched.

On my small sample, 1 tried to take the piss, about 4 mentioned the support/the flags, 95 have no memory of the game.

    We’re fine.

    Enjoy the cricket.

Well it's not surprising seeing as you work for the Alzheimer's Society :D

  10. Fine joke. Reminds me of Stewart Lee.

I don't disagree with you. However, it's probably a bit rich that the criticism in this case comes from the president of La Liga. This league is dominated by two teams:
Real Madrid - the "royal" having been conferred by the then king of Spain, and with plenty of unconfirmed rumours of political backing from General Franco. And Barcelona - who like to consider themselves as representative of the Basques and their belief they are a separate state.

    Erm...

    Catalans...

And as an aside, did you know that Barca were formed by an Englishman and a Swiss man? Hence the flags of St George and Swiss cantons on their badge...

Get hold of a copy of Barca Barca Barca!!! THEN you'll understand the rivalry between Barcelona and the L'escoria.
