Nice and inventive, but too many syllables I think. Not sure it would work.

 

Fair point..or I guess you could use "That's Mazzari" Can hear this belting out over VR now, when we're playing attack & 3 nil up, think it would be a brilliant chant!

On Sky Sports today they were pronouncing his surname as Mat Zari

Sky Sports are correct actually. I was listening to the From the Rookery End podcast and the Italian guest speaker said his name is pronunced "Matt-zari".

Liked one of the comments on Wobby incorporating Mazzarri in Wonderwall Oasis song, 'Maybe he's gonna be the one to save us' etc...... 'Coz after all he's our WonderWalt'.....reckon could be tinkered around a bit and Mazzarri also incorporated

 

I would say that "Walter Mazzarri" fits better in the QSF song that "Quique Sanchez Flores" - after all we have done it before, Iggy took Sannino's song to a new level.......

Thats a unique tune so has to be kept

 

After singing it with six syllables for so long, I can't make anything less fit!

 

Really enjoyed singing the QSF chant and personally would be happy to see it in that, agree though with Jon-e-lee trying to see how it would fit, (singing it to myself and trying to make it fit!)

 

Has he got a middle name? "Bob" would fit well!

Cheers one syllable middle name makes all difference, perfect fit, will be interesting how we fit the likes of Penaranda (panda?) into chants next season.

Had a good look too and yep can't find it anywhere either on any of his profiles, just the two names either not given one or chosen not to reveal it, shame as ''Bob' would have been perfect!

Why not keep it QSF. He may be gone but we can still sing his name, at the end of the day, despite the woeful second half to the season, he's a lovely chap who kept us up. Man U for example still sing about giggs,cantona and best

 

Had a quick look to see if we could steal a song for Walter from his Napoli days like we did for QSF and Atletico. Only one I could find was this rather charming ditty:
