I wouldn't actually mind seeing us do this next season if we get back up.

I have to be honest, my own personal view is that those kind of tweets are pretty pathetic - I don't really understand the instinct, let alone given how much stretching he has had to do to conclude from that liveblog post that the Sky Sports journo is 'reminding Luton of their rightful place'.

It’s an incredible tweet. Anything anti scum is amazing. Nothing is pathetic when it comes to them.

Felt good about that until I realised Bournemouth would also be cheering that goal!

I take it we got their reserves today because they were crap.

You should never underestimate a Warnock side, but I'll be surprised if the current 6 top six aren't still the top six at the end of the season. Just based on the quality of the players they have. We shall see though, long way to go.

Warnock going to be mad now !

Well, you didn't get Toney, for a start. From what I saw the commentators kept going on about how many kids they were playing, but then again they also said that they certainly looked like they'd be at home in the Premier League in that patronisingly fawning, sycophantic way, so...

Thought they played well first half but you took over second half. There were a lot of changes from them, but credit to them, they've beaten 3 Premier League teams this season in the cups. Think of all the teams in the promotion mix, they're best suited to thriving in the Prem, a team on the way up

Warnock taking it out on a young 18 year old apparently.

Not like none of his players have ever done a bad but accidental tackle is it ..?

He looked as mad as a balloon at the end.
Boro did seem to get a raw deal with the challenge and the clear penalty denied to them.
    Good results for us today.

He's doing some job to get them within a sniff of the play-offs, but it is looking like 4 of the top 6 are set. Bournemouth are on a bad run of form, but I'd expect them to pick up, Reading on paper aren't as good, but have built up a decent cushion, they could well be the 'best of the rest' so to speak
Apparently they were on the right end of some dodgy calls midweek, Championship officiating eh?

That’s BT commentary for you, constantly nattering on and on and on.

Our next 5 or 6 games are key IMO
A lot of our rivals will be slitting each others throats during the next 6 matches , Brentford and Reading
specifically. If we can get a gallop on now we could join Naarch and looking down on the chasing pack !.

It could still be tough for them, as none of the teams they beat (one of them on pens) were any good, the kind we beat on occasion during even our doomed seasons in the top flight, and as they're a small club (out of the teams in the top 26, probably only Bournemouth are smaller) it's going to be hard to attract the players to strengthen them. On the other hand, one thing in their favour is that they've got a good winning mentality, having finished no lower than 11th since they came up from League 1, and finished in the play-offs in two seasons, so if they go up they won't be a team that's come from nowhere like Huddersfield.

They do an incredible job year in year out in the transfer market, they have some really talented players at the moment, plus if they go up surely they'd have a bit more breathing space in the transfer window (albeit I know they're paying for that new stadium). Norwich are coming straight back down, us, Swansea and Bournemouth would have a job on to be competitive, but I think Brentford are on the up

A bit off-topic but Everton vs Sheff Wed was an odd choice for a 20:00 fixture and the result was pretty predictable. Would they still be having late kick-offs on a Sunday were it not for COVID and fixtures at places this far apart (Liverpool and Sheffield, while both up north, are over 100 miles apart, and the away fans probably wouldn't be able to catch the last train home)?

I have a sneaky feeling that Swansea are going to grab one of the top two spots. If they do it would mean we're going to have to finish above Narrch (and everyone else bar Swansea) to do likewise. Not impossible, but tricky to say the least.

    In short, yes.

They couldn't care less about the fans. Never have and never will.

Reminds me of when we played away at Everton under Mazzarri. Think it was a Monday night 8 pm kick-off, and if you travelled to Merseyside by train, the last possible train back to London was about two minutes before half-time and given you'd have to factor in actually getting back from Goodison to the station, means you'd likely only have seen half an hour of the game. Pointless

Way to early to say who is going up. We've still got 21 games to play. Then there will be the usual choking of some teams. I will stay quietly confident that we will be top two with a couple of quality additions.

I agree. Coming off 3 wins and with the fixtures coming up it feels like if we have a chance to put together a powerhouse run and stamp our mark then this is the best chance.

I must admit I was doing something else when Boro and Rovers were playing and wasn't really concentrating on the game.
I saw the incident last night and Colin has every right to feel aggrieved. The least he could have expected was a penalty and the player was fortunate not to lose an eye. Very nasty.
