Still ten clear of them atm. Had we drawn or lost last night could of been a little nervy now, but we still have a good lead. If Brentford drop points today then that's an extra bonus. They still have to WIN those games in hands to get closer to us. If they both lose them, nothing gained.

Swansea are never, ever catching us.

    1. They’re bang average
    2. They’re 10 points behind us with just six games to go
    3. Even if they win their game in hand they’ll be 7 points behind us with just five games to go
    4. They are miles behind on goal difference, meaning they can’t just catch us, they need to overtake us, which would require an absolutely unbelievable, ridiculous swing in form

It’s us or Brentford, and barring an embarrassing collapse it’s us.

Good win for Swans but they’ve left it too late. A couple more wins for us and we’re home and dry regardless of what the others teams do

Brentford dropping points would be far more useful for us

So long as we win the games we ought to and get a point at Brentford or Norwich we’ll be fine

If we don’t then it’s our own fault.

The max points Swansea can get is 90, Brentford can get 91. We're on 82 with 5 games to play. I'd suggest 90 points would make us comfortable as absolutely cannot see either Swansea or Brentford taking maximum points from their last 6 games. In fact beating Brentford would pretty much seal it.

If we win at the kennel, draw at the budgies, tame the lions, swat the bees and drown the swans it would be one hell of an end of season run.

Yep, all we need is a decent points return from the last five I’d imagine, if that. There’s a very good chance neither of Brentford or Swansea even hit 84/85 points. That’s around 100 points for the season type form out of nowhere.

I said the other day that 86 seals it and I stand by that, and if we can’t get 4 points from our final five games then I’ll just have to laugh.

Could still hear the Swansea bench scream blue murder every time their players threw themselves to the ground.

They won't catch us. Hopefully we hold onto 2nd and Barnsley win the playoffs.

We could lose to Norwich and Brentford whilst beating Luton/Millwall and Swansea win all their games and they would still be a point behind on the final day.

Swansea fans will be thinking if only they had done this in the previous 4 games.

Taking the lead helped them and then scored on the break late on.

86 points for us would be ok s long as neither Swansea or Brentford take 3 points off us, however as you will be aware I don't think we have come this far to start losing games, our players are too savvy for that! unfortunately we all have to have a little bit more patient!

2 wins out of 5 will be more than enough. 88 points will do it. That would require Brentford to win 6 out of 7 just to be level on points. Swansea would have to win 6 out 6 because our GD is so superior.

    Beating Lut*n is a must.

All of this is irrelevant anyway as we’re going to win the league.

It’s irrelevant if they beat us if we still reach 86 and they don’t, which is possible, even probable.

Brentford have gone all out attack. Even their fans are confused with the formation. They don’t know if it’s 433/343, some fan even called it a 2-1-2-3-2. They are literally going for it. If they do have a back four then either Fosu or Mbeumo are playing at LB. Preston will come under serious pressure. However Brentford will be so vulnerable on the counter with their line up. On paper this now looks like a very open game.

We want them to keep winning now, really. Ends Millwall’s season and sends them into their game against Brentford in form.

So Swansea switch to 4-3-3 and suddenly become instantly better?

Damn, if only they thought of that 10 games ago.

Millwall were nothing more than shocking. Set pieces that's it. Not worried about playing them now at all.
PNE are going for it though.

Great goal - deserve it too, Derby are getting torn to bits. No shame in finishing second to them.

Brentford playing like they have accepted they won't go up automatically...which makes them more dangerous

Think we can safely say that’s the end of this round of fixtures as far as interest for us goes. We did the business last night and as long as we keep it up it’s completely in our hands.

Brentford were two up against Derby as well.

Next goal is crucial in this one.

Eurgh, this could be like the ups and downs of the end of last season again, with us just needing something from two final tough games to get over the line but then bottling it.
