Hackchewatly it's even "messier" than that. Bournemouth has an extremely large number of "holiday homes" (ie that are used as holiday boltholes as well as "granny flats") as it's quite a nice part of the world which means the owners get two votes. It used to have a seasonal influx of scousers to "work" the summer holiday down there, which used to make a, ahem, "lively conversation starter" for the locals.
Wasn't this that magical fixture a season or two ago where on of our fancy boys took time to sit down on his arse near our goal and let them score an equaliser? If that happens again il be taking that said player out for a date - where I sit on my arse all night and say nothing. Hold on that sounds a bit wrong....
Quite so. We must be on our guard against intolerance of all kinds and stand up against left wing fascists like Clive
What's that supposed to mean? Do I know you personally? Don't think I do. It was meant as a joke not a personal attack on anyone.
This seems pretty much as annoying and reductive as when screeching Brexiteers bandy about a 51.something to 48.something 'leave' vote as representing the undisputed 'will of the people' and 'the greatest mandate for anything in this country ever'.
Put the Morning Star or the New Statesman or whatever you read down for 5 minutes and google 'left wing fascist' - you might learn something
Oh dear oh dear oh dear. You seem to be as uptight as a bowstring for some reason at the moment Sting. You're a million miles away from what my point actually was, so I'll give you a little helping hand and narrow it down to one of two possibilities for you and you can choose which you think it was. Was it either:- A) A humourous aside concerning an misunderstanding in my dear wife's comprehension of the English language or B) A thinly-veiled revelation that what we Kremlins would really like, would be to dress up in black leather SS outfits with peaked caps and jackboots and then goosestep down the local high street whilst lobbing rocks through Jewish shop windows. You decide.
[QUOTE="what we Kremlins would really like, would be to dress up in black leather SS outfits with peaked caps and jackboots [/QUOTE] What you get up to in the privacy of your own bedroom is no concern of mine
I think you missed the humour in my post - unless you think tourists or Tories have been targets of prejudice recently.
Literally who cares how many of them voted leave... I'd rather we talked about why their fan base consists of such snidey little cahunts
I don't like Bournemouth, or Nazis and I really detest fascist ideology. I also don't know how they are linked?
Are you sure? My understanding is that it's against the law, but that some people (eg the journalist Charles Moore) have found it is possible to get away with it because the bureaucratic procedures are not properly carried out - and there has been a bit of a row about this. If you know anybody who has done it you should grass them up.
Your figures show the opposite of what you say: Not only did 50000 vote 'remain,' a further 77000 did not vote at all and so didn't vote 'leave'. So the chances of randomly finding a leave voter are 127000 to 58000 against. But you throw in four more factors, so the chances of finding an 'elderly white British Tory leave voter' are much lower. This wouldn't matter too much, except you then display your own 'prejudices and bigotry' by lumping everybody together and denigrating them. 'Group identity politics', as I said before. Your last paragraph is racist - just replace the word 'white' with Jewish', for instance. What is wrong with a person being white? "Be educated to be free" - your quotation at the bottom of the page: To be an educator imposes a strong moral responsibility, which you don't exhibit.
