The Andre Gray Conundrum

Maybe if we offered a swap loan with Plymouth where we pay Grays wages and they pay their players wages and I would hope that player would be Jephcott.

Hopefully even Gray should score goals in league one, and Jephcott has to be better than Gray in the Championship, as he has already scored 16 goals for Plymouth this season.

 

Yeah, I'm sure they'd bite our hands off to swap him for Gray.

 

Ikpeazu now has more goals than Gray this season.

 

I have seen on this forum "sensible" posters , unlike myself , getting stuck into Row Z
the way not so sensible posters , myself for example, have . Surely the changing room see

I think the problem is he is the king of the dressing room's (useless) consigliere, from all we see on social media, the club youtube, etc etc. A real Piers Gaveston.

 

Maybe . However if we have a changing room where everyone is frightened of a wannabe gangster
then we really do have problems .

In honesty it's not that anyone's afraid, it's just that Deeney clearly rules the roost in all ways, I mean he has enough influence over the hierarchy for god's sake, and if Gray is sitting at his right hand at all times, there's really not that much it's worth anyone doing for their own sanity. It's not actually their job to point out to senior coaching figures what a pathetic excuse of a person and imitation of a footballer he is; or, at least, it really shouldn't be.

 

Not so sure now regarding TD and Row Z after witnessing Troy's body language after yet another
hoof into the stand by Andre against Millwall.

In reality it's a comment on Cromwell's staying power in light Henry's lack of patience, rather than Henry's patience itself.

Following on from what I said in #71 yesterday afternoon. Perhaps a more realistic offer would be for us to pay both players wages until the end of the season, which might just swing a deal like this. That would still probably be cheaper than us paying a loan fee, and as I said Plymouth might well go for that as surely even Gray should be able to score at league one level, and I'm fairly sure Jephcott would be a better option for us.

 

League One is the division immediately below us, not some pub league. They are not going to want to swap a striker with 16 goals for Andre f***ing Gray.

Thing is, a player who cannot hit the target cannot score. It’s not like he is working any of the keepers he faces.
