Anyone else read the captain in Patrick Stewarts voice? What I would have done to have seen Stewart and Mckellen play Vladimir and Estragon
This seems to rely somewhat on an idea that only a centre forward is a threat/someone who can score goals - those extra players don't have to be desperately fixated on trying to cross/pass the ball to a striker, that's half the point. Playing one out and out centre forward is a method of playing 'more attackers', regardless of whether they are listed as 'strikers' or not - they just operate in less defined space, exactly where those three centre backs would want them to. It also seems like we're in a slightly comical pattern here where we put five players up top on the team sheet so Swansea decide to field six centre backs. The three at the back formation literally fell out of favour historically when teams switched to using a 4-2-3-1 formation against it, and three man attacks in a 4-3-3 helped contribute to that with two wingers able to get in behind on the counter without totally conceding central midfield via allowing the three at the back team an extra man. If we had a striker who was capable of being that one, it would be a strong option to have, but obviously we don't, as was the original point of my post.
Maybe it was part of the negotiations to get the deal over the line. I'm not convinced Capoue is the sort to bother with going out with a bang. Pity how these things so often just fizzle out; Capoue has been, in my opinion, one of the best midfielders the Club have ever had.
I saw Max Wall in WFG at the Round House in Camden - he was brilliant as he had that sad clown’s face. I studied it for French A level, a long time ago
Patrick Stewart supports Huddersfield. I bumped into him once in a small cafe in a small town on a small island in Fiji. He was smaller than I thought he would be.
You'd think that those surroundings would make him look larger. He must be really tiny in a normal room in the UK.
Imagine being such a príck that you would travel to a stadium you couldn't enter to protest at your own players doing something they felt was right. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55493844
You could be right! I am not one though. I have a sportsman's hernia. Ironically. As I certainly didn't get it playing sports.
Shirley everybody loves father ted , I watched the Christmas special the other day (women’s underwear episode) they don’t make comedy like that any more , they just make **** like mrs browns boys
This has the look of a 1-1 about it. But with the new boss so much harder to know if we can snap out of the poor away form of the last, well, forever. Release Sarr and see how we go...
Swansea will come at us. We generally do better against sides that do that. Just hope Deeney and Gray did not over indulge over Christmas and are awake.
Bob Hope and no hope. Another afternoon of Sarr looking on in despair as another fine cross is met by thin air.
Would take a point here - nice run of games coming up. That said hope we continue to positive approach against Norwich.
Was looking at the comments from the game against Reading and their fans were annoyed that they'd set up in a 3-5-2 with three defensive midfielders. Be interesting to see if they change approach today, and indeed if we try to match them up in the middle. Wouldn't fancy Chalobah and Cleverley against three centre mids...
