    The Rules:

    Roles - 16 players

    Evil:

    Alpha
    Beta
    Traitor
    Harlot Traitor*

    Good:
    Seer
    Guardian
    Mason x3
    Shaky Witness
    Villager x5
    Late saviour*

Potential Other Roles (not assigned at the beginning of the game):
    Back-up seer: 1
    Back-up wolf: 1

This game is set a few months after the last game of werewolf. Nations, still reeling from the previous werewolf disaster, send delegates to create global policy to ensure no such outbreak could ever happen again. To ensure they are not interrupted by malign influences, these representatives are sent to an old, long abandoned village, which some of you might find familiar.

    Team Evil

Wolves: Two of the city leaders have been disposed of and replaced by werewolves.

There are two wolves: Alpha and Beta. These 2 wolves do not know each other's identities.

The Alpha, can send a message to the village each day if they so wish.

Each night, the wolves each chose to kill a city's leader.

If a wolf picks another wolf as its kill, the wolf’s seniority will come into play:
    • A wolf who tries to kill a wolf ‘up the chain’, will themselves be killed.
    • A wolf who tries to kill a wolf ‘down the chain’ will not kill the wolf. They will however find out their identity.
    • For example, if Beta tries to kill Alpha, Beta will die. If Alpha tries to kill Beta, no wolf dies and Alpha finds out Beta's identity.
If two wolves chose the same evening kill, both wolves learn each others identity.

Traitor: This representative has also sworn allegiance to the wolves.
This leader knows the identity of all wolves from the start and must try to protect them.

Harlot Traitor: This representative has always wanted to be a member of team evil, and will do whatever it takes. Each night they can chose to either visit another player, or stay at home.
    • For each player they visit, they are told if the player is good or evil.
    • If they visit someone who the wolf visits that evening, both the HT and the intended target die.
    • If they are in the house when a wolf attacks, the hungry wolves will devour them before discovering their identity.
    • If they are out and a wolf/ wolves target them, there is enough incriminating evidence in their home to betray their allegiances. The evil visitor will learn the HTs identity, and their identity will be shared with the HT. That wolf will not make a kill that evening, and the village are not told who the wolf/ wolves targeted.
    • If the Guardian chooses to protect the HT the evening a wolf attempts to attack, the wolf cannot enter the HTs house and cannot discover their identity. If the HT is in at the time, the HT will see the wolf/ wolves attacking from their window and discover their identity. If they are out, neither party discovers each others identity. In this situation, the village will be told which player the Guardian protected, and no mention will be made of the HT.
    Team Good

Guardian: One nation brought a werewolf shield with them to the village, which lasts for an entire night.
They can provide this shield to one chosen player each night.
Once a player has been been shielded, they are unable to be shielded again in future.
    The Guardian cannot shield themselves.
If the Guardian is chosen by the wolf, the wolf will kill the Guardian after they have carried out their protection.

Seer: A seer can message me each day to view a player.
Upon viewing a player, they will be told if the player is good or evil.
They can then respond to The Globe with a message to be posted to all players.

Masons: Three members of Team Good were with each other when Miked2006 was murdered. As a result, and they know each others identities and that they are all good, normal villagers. They do not know any other players’ identities.

An Apprentice Seer will be in the game and used based on my decision as to how the game is going.

Shaky Witness: Before the game starts, I will provide the shaky witness with the name of one player. This player will be randomly drawn from the following pool:
    • Alpha
    • Beta
    • Harlot Traitor
    • Seer
    • Guardian
This knowledge might prove valuable the longer the games goes on, as allegiances are potentially unearthed.

Late saviour: This role has no special powers until day three. However, on the third day only, they can either block the days lynching before the village closes (I won't close the village early that day, even if all votes are in), or chose an player in the village to guard from the wolves at night (before the village opens on day 4). They can select themselves to protect/ save if they'd like. The powers of this role expire on when the village opens on day 4. If the LS chooses to halt a lynching, the village will not discover if the sentenced player is good or evil.

A full moon may be used at some point to create another wolf or wolves. The new wolf will not be the seer, traitor or the guardian.
It may be a player already viewed as good by the seer.
I will make a decision based on the game status as to whether or not it can be a mason and I will make it clear if the masons were included in the random 'new wolf' generation.

I will let players with roles know individually how to send me day/ night actions. Messages will be pasted by this account along with timestamps as per normal.

No players are permitted to make contact outside the game, even if players know of each others roles (eg Masons, Traitor, etc.)

    Anonymous accounts:

You will all be provided with an anonymous account and password. These passwords have been randomly generated. Please don’t change passwords as the accounts were set-up with temporary email addresses so won’t be recoverable. If you have any issues, message me.

Access will be granted to the entire forum (excluding cemetery) with these accounts so that you can browse other threads without having to log in and out. I don’t see any issue with commenting on non-werewolf threads using these anonymous accounts if you don’t want to log in to your normal account. Remember these accounts aren’t anonymous to me so they are traceable in that sense (although everyone on here is an experienced poster so I doubt there will be any issues anyway).

Feel free to copy other user’s posting styles when using your anonymous accounts, etc. but I’d prefer it if user’s genuine names weren’t brought into the game. By all means, copy User X’s (for example, steve harrow) playing style, language, etc, if you wish, but don’t explicitly claim to be User X.

In the cemetery, there will be a post hidden by spoiler tags that will link the city accounts to genuine accounts.

Finally, there are no clues in city names, flags, etc. For example, three cities geographically close together are no more likely to be masons than 3 cities spread over the world. City names and roles will be completely randomised, as will the assignment of city names to users. Norwayhornet is as likely to be Oslo for example as anyone else is.

The game will start around 9am on Monday 15th June. Each day's play will begin around 9am and end at 6.30pm, or when all votes have been cast, whichever is earliest. Any changes to these times will be clearly stated.

Players who do not vote or contribute will be killed that night.

The game will take a break for the weekend and will run Monday - Friday.

Voting ties will be separated by a public gambling event (possibly virtual).

Once you have voted, you cannot change your vote. Same goes for messages with a kill or a viewing.

Werewolves win when there are an equal number of good players and evil players. Villagers win when they have killed the wolves.

You shouldn’t be able to. NI has hopefully set the game up so you can only vote/ comment in your city accounts.

    Update.

I've decided it doesn't make sense for the Harlot Traitor to be killed by a wolf that knows them.

    So:

Harlot Traitor: This representative has always wanted to be a member of team Evil, and will do whatever it takes.
    • Each evening, the Harlot Traitor can choose to stay in, or visit another player in the village
    • For each player they visit, they are told if the player is Good or Evil
    • The wolves do not know from the outset know who the HT is.
    • A wolf can learn the HTs identity by visiting the home of the HT when they're out. If this happens, the HT will also be messaged the name of the wolf that visited by the admin. That wolf will not make a kill that evening, and the village are not told who the wolf/ wolves targeted.
    • If a wolf doesn't know the HT, and their paths cross in an evening, the wolf kills the HT. This includes visiting the house of a wolf's evening target, or staying home when the wolf chosen to kill them.
    • Once a wolf learns the identity of the HT, a wolf will no longer kill the HT if they visit the same house in the evening. However if two wolves visit the same place as the HT and only one knows the identity of the HT, then the HT will be killed by the wolf that doesn't know the HT. If for whatever reason the wolf learns the HT's identity and subsequently visits the HTs home and the HT is staying at home, the wolf kills the HT.
    • If the wolf(/ves) attack a player who is protected by the Guardian and the HT also tries to visit this player, then no one will be able to enter the house. Any wolf in this situation which does not know the HT will kill the HT outside the house.
@nornironhorn - I'm not sure if you can edit my settings, but I am unable to edit posts after 5-10 minutes. Are you able to change this rule whilst I moderate this game? It might be useful at some point.

Yea, I'll check on the laptop over the weekend.

Can you edit posts with no time limit in the anon sub forum? If so then that will be fine. If not I can change it for you

Nope. I can do most other things (warn, multiple select and delete) but I don’t think I can edit.

You should be able to now, try again although you might need to add a new comment on the sub forum thread to try and edit - unsure if it works retrospectively.

Also removed the ability to 'warn' people as that gets held on accounts' records. They are anonymous accounts as well so no real need for it.
