Former Spurs man Steffen Iversen has been plying his trade with Norwegian Champions Rosenborg. Apparently in his contract there is a clause that he can leave the club FoC - IF and only if - he signs with another club during 2006. He is 30 and has prem and Champions League experience and has scored frequently during the recent Norwegian campaign.
We can't sign anyone until Jan 1st (or 2nd when the paperwork goes through). So we won't get him for free.
We can sign whoever we want - the contract just does not take effect until the window. But we can have a contract signed outside the window.
