Sounds about right.. although maybe they will fill the corner & just sell restricted view tickets for some places.

I suspect it will look something similar to the far corner here at Carrow Road..

Can't they bend that upright like they did in the SEJ?

I've got Yuri Geller's fax number somewhere ...

Thanks for that Stevohorn. I'd been trying to think of stadium that had a similar setup. We could even avoid putting seats in that last triangle (near the red bit in above pitcture) to keep segregation between home and away fans.

Could we not move the away fans over next to the screen? Not sure what percentage has to be given over to visiting fans, but surely be less wastage of seats that way as the current segregation if home/away fans would still be adequate.

Surely you could just swap the family stand and away fans sides? Why is this a problem?

Why do we compare everything to Dortmund these days?

If we remove the pillar, the 'Power to Topple' banner will be very fitting indeed.

A fair amount of money has been sent on signage, both visible from other stands and within the concourse. Also you'd have to change the gate set up for the GT Stand as it all funnels through to the VR corner both in and out.

I'm not saying it's impossible or anything it's just more planning and cost I reckon.

Yep, at the moment there is continuous access from the Rookery, Lower GT & family end of VR - which means that the crap facilities in the VR don't matter so much for people in family area. Would be a hassle to swap away & family area & would leave the latter with the rubbish facilities we currently only ask away fans to endure. Remember when it was our home end - even half empty it took 20 mins to queue for the gents.

That banner is bizarre and awful. What on Earth is it all about? I've never even heard of the brand.

and as a stadium buff may i add that covering the framework of the stand doesnt help it aesthetically!

A buck is a buck though i suppose.

itl look much less like a lego stand when the seats go all the way to pitch level. i like it!

Its going to be tight what with widening the pitch, putting an extra few rows of seating in, finding space for the dugouts and then securing that area from joe public. I guess the new seats will wrap around the dugout area, rather than forming a straight line all the way across.

Has anybody ever seen this drink? If I wanted a bulldog power energy drink - where do I buy one? I've consciously looked for it in places ranging from Costco to those ****ty Londis stores and I've decided this bloke is paying for advertising just so he can feel what it must be like to own a company that produces energy drinks.

And even if it does exist. Why, if they're going to have one ****ty banner advertising it, have the put it on the side where only Watford fans can see it - at best reaching 30,000 different people in a whole season, instead of facing the VR stand where they can get about 1,000 new away fans + the Kop and Coldblow Lane stands fans seeing it each week???

Is this an apprentice project? Maybe we are Week 2 and will be on BBC.

This fat northern kid with 80 subscribers is sponsored by them it seems. Is this an in-joke?

More people visit my art gallery than watch his ****ty videos. Why do I not get a free pack of bulldog?

Starts off by telling us he's sponsored by them & then lo & behold he..... "rarely likes it"

    Really?!

Maybe they should try strapping him to the top of the Vic Road Stand?

I like the video because his face tells me he doesn't and he struggles to hide that.

400 seats in that corner by the away fans could make the perfect 1881 section.

Was it not a drink that was made up by one of the teams on Alan Sugars "The Apprentice" program? They went to NYC to manufacture and market it, and I think it won that week over the rival teams project?

I know, I know, but I quite like the program, it's fun to watch them run around trying to impress the Sugar man, when he has almost certainly made up his mind who is going to win before the program starts.

It's now about him (more likely the BBC) investing £250k in a business idea thought up by one of the contestants, so however the contestant, that Sugar has probably pre-decided has the best idea, performs throughout the weeks, you can bet your bottom dollar they will win.

The program was better when they just got a job in his organisation, the best worker usually came to the fore then.

The answer is staring everyone in the face. Simply remove the roof entirely from the Vic end and the pillars are no longer a problem.

An open Vicarage Road end? As if that could ever happen! Mind you, they could always put a big scoreboard with dancing men in the middle I suppose.

They will need to put a clock on the Rookery end though so I can tell the time whilst getting wet.

Perhaps put some safe standing in as well?

  35. Witneyellow

I wonder if the Wobby could be persuaded to sponsor a clock?

They'd need a good strap line - how about something like "tells more, sells more"?

(The worrying thing is a huge number of readers won't get the references!)

Ps is the clock still in the Red Lion in real life?
