Firstly I'd say if he is signed and goes into the starting 11, then 16.5M for a starting striker is not a lot of money.

Secondly I'd say he leads a line better than our current 3 and offers a slightly better threat in front of goal so I'd agree an upgrade.

Maybe. He's not the player we need though. IMO the Pozzo's will want to bring in someone better than him. Should be looking to get strikers and defenders up to the level of the midfield. Signing Rondon would not achieve this.

Depends what you're after. Do we want to play it safe and just survive? Rondon is more than likely good enough to secure it, he's pretty meh, but slightly better than Gray/Deeney. Do we take a punt on someone from abroad who might turn out to be a complete dud, but who could also shoot us right up the table?

Been very impressed with him this season, an absolute handful and capable of playing alone up front home or away. Would be really pleased with this, could score plenty in a side with more attacking intent.

He was always far too inconsistent for my liking. I was one of only a handful that was pleased to see the back of him. Brilliant on his day, but his day's were far and few between.

 

Exactly. Loved the passion and he took the piss sometimes in the Championship, but the next week he'd go missing and spend 60 minutes giving the ball away and trying to go it alone past 8 players before being hooked and having a strop. Would he displace Pereyra or Hughes in the the 25 man squad let alone the team? I don't think so.
