Demolition of the remaining old section should begin today.

Hope something happens. At the moment it's like watching grass grow.

The sun clearly doesn't fit the Pozzo Model. It's a no from me.

I never read the sun, it hurts my eyes. I tried sunglasses...didn't help, it was still a **** paper.

Having sat over there for 20 years before Ashton and co kicked us out, I can confirm that the sun does cause squinting. The best solution is a baseball cap or sun visor, although a hand or programme do the trick. Usually the sun sets behind the GT Stand roof by about half time after the first month or so of the season. And it's usually cloudy.

On the plus side, it's much warmer than any other part of the ground when the sun is shining.

It's been so long I'd actually forgotten what the ground looked like 7+ years ago.

And if you think how much the world has changed in those 7-8 years since people sat there, it's unbelievable.

In the time it has taken us to get a new stand, the City of London has gained about 7 new skyscrapers.

Looks like the Harris Hawk scaring the pigeons from the top of the High Street has sent them over to Vicarage Road!

Stevo was right. The grass seems to be growing in quite nicely already, despite the pigeions.

Nothing happening today again - no one on site.

Does anyone know why the delay and have independant photos of interior work undertaken to date?

The lack of progress is very strange. It would appear that the close season is not being exploited in terms of progressing the demolition and construction. There are clearly technical issues to be sorted, but we are not getting any details from the club. As I understand it, all planning permissions have been obtained, contractors have been engaged, the fans have been promised a new stand by the beginning of next season, yet things appear to be at a standstill (excuse the pun)! I am not the most patient of people.

Unless you're there, how do you know? The camera doesn't show the whole site.

Don't let it ruin your summer people. It's just a structure with seats!

You are perfectly right. Perspective is needed. It will happen.

I assumed the half closest to the rookery, would be a slide for entertainment for the kids. Bloody health and safety.

I'm on my phone so can't post pictures but the 1881 have posted a few pictures from today.

A lot of work seems to be happening behind the stand, they've ripped down most of the East Stand wall and are doing some work on the back of the stand.

  30. I was told the changing rooms are too small and are being extended out the back, to do that the Occ Rd wall and part of the bank needs to come out. That's where all the work is happening.

Not sure if these will work if you're not on Twitter.

Anyone know if the whole wall on occupation road is coming down or just the part behind the stand that still needs to be demolished??

The picture in the post directly before yours shows the wall being demolished behind the new built part so I guess all of it.

How can they extend backwards if the steel is already in?

  35. Eh? Why is that a problem? How are house extensions built....

It's what I've been told, no idea if its correct
