Apparently Martin Skrtl's agent is fixing it all up for him. He's been touting him around and has finally found a taker.

Kaboul is quick.

Britos is average, but more mobile than Prodl.

I'm guessing that was his point.

 

Kaboul has great top speed, its his acceleration which is poor

No one is irreplaceable, but if this transfer were to happen it would say a lot about Prodl's mentality & ambition if he would be prepared to take a significant backward step from the PL to Turkey.

 

Central defending game isn't all about speed. Defender legging it back is likely to be a full back. CB's close the space by positioning and strength. Prodl is an excellent defender, but if he isn't first choice after a good season maybe he wants to move.

 

Positionally, he's our best defender.
