I thought there was an excel sheet that existed that scores can be dumped into giving instant results? Isn't this the reason we put the scores in the format we do?
I'm really sorry. I am home for Christmas this year - been abroad a lot hence not been on here much. I will do my best to give an update by January 1st (half season so to speak!)
Don't bother with a week by week update, just do a one off update for the lot, or not, whichever way is easier for you! Merry Christmas mate :xmas-smiley-022::xmaswink::xmascheesy::xmas-smiley-033::xmascheesy::xmaswink::xmas-smiley-022:
Screw that. I wan't week on week detailed analysis plus expert commentary by Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher ... WITH GRAPHS.

With the demise of Legs I suggest we finish the league here at week 8 and dish out the prizes. It's what he would have wanted
I'm guessing this was up to date as of week 18 rather than 8? I'll go through and update each week after this so will give 5 updates if I can. Will work on it over the week and post when ready.
Well done for volunteering to undertake this task Meh! :sign15: However as you are going to do it, might it not be better to go right back and start from scratch with your own system, as it might be easier that way and you will be certain that all the figures are right.
Speak with Meister, I am sure he must have Excel templates somewhere from when he done it. Will be a few hours of C&P so anything would be appreciated by all of us players! Thanks for looking into it. I was wondering, could the prediction league be done in something like a Googledoc each week that is live and shared with people. Then we could submit our prediction and it could save all of this in the cloud and update each week?
Yeah. I've already started setting it up in google docs. Probably still do on here though and just leave a locked version available for people to look at so people can't change other people's scores!
You two could be talking about Tommy Docs or in Double Dutch as far as I'm concerned, try and keep it simple for Computer Numpties like me
Ok, all updated. Didn't take too long in the end once the spreadsheets were all set up. I'll continue to run the game and update the scores from now on or until the other guys return, and this is pretty usable for next season. So here is the current table: And as some people have missed weeks, I've added in an average-score-per-round-entered leader board (only for anyone entering more than 15 weeks): ------------------------------------------------ SUPER14 I will also start a SUPER14 from now. This will be a standalone prediction competition for the last 14 games of the season for anyone who wants to get involved who gave up before or for anyone new wanting to play. Will be the same games and scores as the normal game, but I'll create a separate leaderboard where everyone starts week 23 on zero. ------------------------------------------------ Spreadsheets and scores are all laid out here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1coHIrLfiY4lJtxBpc3To_iNKTa9WKd8GbOP7PXgX0Ps/edit#gid=0 Feel free to go through and sense-check your scores as I went cross-eyed a few times! Let me know if you spot any incorrect points scored.
Great work and well done for everything - it really is quite mind numbing work and it's really appreciated. The problem is, you've ruined my dream of winning. Thanks, but I hate you.
It's only 40 points! You can try to win the averages league table as well I guess! And the SUPER14 was designed with players like you in mind, to keep people interested to the end of the season.
Well done Meh! Thankyou very much, I did not realise I was that high up in the table :sign15::sign15::sign15:
Hotting up at the top with 4 results already in. With most people going for Spurs and Chelsea wins, the scores are looking pretty low, but West Brom's last gasp equaliser came in lovely for me: Top 10 KnightGT: 10 wfcforever: 7 Teide1: 7 Meh!: 15 TVOR: 4 Miked2006: 9 cyaninternetdog: 7 Manatleisure: 12 another_mrlizard: 9 Dreadnought: 5 Current scores before tonight's game: KnightGT: 480 wfcforever: 477 Teide1: 466 Meh!: 466 TVOR: 441 Miked2006: 439 Manatleisure: 437 cyaninternetdog: 435 another_mrlizard: 424 Dreadnought: 419 Only 1 mover with Manatleisure overtaking cyaninternetdog, but it’s getting tighter at the top with me getting 15! Tonight’s match predictions for the top 10: KnightGT: 1-3 wfcforever: 0-3 Teide1: 1-3 Meh!: 2-4 TVOR: 1-2 Miked2006: 0-3 Manatleisure: 1-3 cyaninternetdog: 1-1 another_mrlizard: 1-2 Dreadnought: 0-4
You are making this very interesting after all these months of no updates, well done Meh! Keep it up :sign15:
Update: With Timbers being the only player correctly predicting a 2-0 win, and most others correctly selecting a win, not much has changed from yesterday: Week 23 total: Week 23 Averages table: Super 14: I'll do a cup round for the main competition but leave super 14 for Prem only. I'm also thinking of doing some fantasy-premier-league-esque double gameweeks for super 14! Keraaaazy times!!!
Great work Meh. I have a query though, you saying I entered 22 of 23 as far as I am aware I did scores for all of them. Which week did I miss?
Ah my apologies Manatleisure. I had you down as missing week 14 but I just checked and you did enter scores. You scored 14 points so are currently on 456 with an average score of 19.83 which puts you in 5th! It will be updated on the next list. I'll go through and have a quick sense-check of all the others.
Likewise I am only aware of missing one week, you have me as only entering 21 of 23. The Week I know I missed was the weekend of 17th December as I was sat on a beach all week in Peru.
If you go to the prediction league folder, look at the little envelope symbol on the left of each week. If you have posted in the thread, then it will have a green arrow pointing to the left.
I didn't realise that there was a week 15.5 which was only started the day before the Man City match; which was the same week I was offline at the beach in Peru.
I contemplated dropping weeks 15.5 and 18 from the data as both were really late notice and a few people said they missed them which has skewed some results.
I can understand your thoughts, but that would be unfair to those who did partake. It might be harsh that it was posted late but everyone had the chance to partake and it is hardly anyone elses fault than their own that they missed it, they should have kept checking like I did and everyone else who did take part.
