No surprise at all this - the Russian team were playing out of their skin in the World Cup, covering comfortably more ground than any other team in the competition in the first round and with relative n0-marks such as Cheryshev suddenly turning in to world-beating speed merchants. They then covered the most ground out of any team in a single match in their game vs Croatia, and the second most ground on average across the whole tournament.
